Its not, its for his father and grandfather who were AU alums….Bill Neville isn’t even an alum.

The Nevilles have extra jingle in their
pockets for their names to be hung on
walls & stadiums at Auburn.
Bill Neville, tax dodger(legally), took his
programming and communication companies to St. Croix, Virgin Islands, a full-blown tax shelter.
Much of corporate America already pays federal taxes below the statutory 35 percent rate.
But in the U.S. Virgin Islands, the average rate is just 3.37 percent---with
a 90-percent reduction in personal income tax and no property tax.
Don't blame the Nevilles for not paying their fair tax share
in this country, the U-S Congress made it all possible.

They shouldn’t rename an entire venue just because one guy is loaded. This is so stupid.

I don’t blame the athletic departments. It’s the way of the world. I don’t blame Missouri about the naming of our arena after the daughter. Honestly my biggest problem with that is she went to Stanford didn’t even go to Missouri. But God is good and she cheated on her academics.

If you knew anything about them you would know they are good people and interact with the students during the game. How much $$$ do you give back to Auburn?

Big money booster got excited about basketball and donated a bunch of money for the new practice facility and now they’re changing the name instead of naming the practice facility after them.

Our athletic department is the laughing stock of America.

It was bound to happen. I'm just glad it's not a corporate name like UK has with Kroger. That is some hokey shite.

Is it as bad as Kroger field? No.

But an existing arena shouldn’t be named after a donor retroactively. That’s just stupid and his name sucks so it sounds awful.

Harbert Arena just sounds better. He might get mad about this new deal.

I’m almost convinced that JJ’s friends/supporters that are still in the athletic department or Samford are getting even for forcing JJ to retire. I can see them laughing like Monty Burns while the wheels fall off.
