Far from it, Mizzou takes the prize naming a venue with Walton money then having egg on face as it came out the Walton kid was cheating in school.

Much better than selling it off to some cheesy 3rd rate company and calling it the Discount Tire Arena or something.

Did Bruce approve of this?

quote:

Bill knew how much his father loved Auburn and he's dedicated much of his life to honoring his father," Auburn men's basketball coach Bruce Pearl said. "That's how I look at this gift. I will always work hard to try to continue to bring championships to Neville Arena. "This is a commitment to all four of the programs that call Neville Arena home. The fact that our guys will truly have a place they can call home 24 hours a day, seven days a week with the way they train, is very significant and will contribute to our ability to sustain success."

Not every day you see an entire legacy of coaches cucked by a single big money booster.

Hey, Neville. Sorry that your name is corny as hell.

I wouldn't give a crap what my name was if I was able to write a check for the largest donation in school athletics history.

You are a laughing stock that has no clue how most arenas got their names.

We did worse, for $10 million donation..

The Pavilion at Ole Miss became

The Sandy and John Black Pavilion at Ole Miss.

We even fit 'SANDY AND JOHN BLACK PAVILION' on both baselines

Being from NOLA I would have thought they were LSU fans.

There is a certain contingent of New Orleans folks who hate anything and everything about LSU.

The Ville, sounds ok.

The $20m donation will be used to pay for the new basketball practice facility, win/win.
