From the games I watched AU, UGA & A&M all looked to be the better (WEEK ONE) teams. It's all gonna play out.

Better than what?

A lot of people thought Arky was going to cover the spread. They didn't. The first half was ugly but we did a complete 180 the 2nd half. It's too early to tell how good any team is and I hope going into the future more people will understand that. Preseason rankings are shite and we should treat it as such.

Better than the rest of the SEC. That's my opinion only after week one. I thought my post was pretty clear.

LSU's comeback was impressive, don't get me wrong. I'm not trying to take anything away from LSU but Wisky completely got away from the play calling that gave them the lead also.

Like I said, it's my opinion after ONE game. Practcally the whole season still has to be played.

1. Clemson is a much better team than Arkansas.

2. UGA was more dominant in the 2nd half than Auburn was, despite the identical score.

1. I'd say better yes but unsure by how much

2. I disagree. I wouldn't say the other way around either though.

Bert worked on Lou, Lou worked on ESPN.
Mystery explained.

Besides, media like Helen Hunt so they are going to be positive when she wins.

No. Not really.. If you are going by score, it was the same but we also downed the ball inside the 10 to end the game

The game were so identical, there is no way to dissect it.

I see holes in both programs...

Both the Auburn and UGA scores were 21-21 at halftime and the exact score at the end of the game.. why then, does ESPN say Auburn "hangs on" and UGA "destroys" "demolishes" Clemson?

B/c espn is a shitty arse sports channel. For being sports experts, they sure do frick up a lot of shite! I only watch espn if a game is on, and even then it would be best to put it on mute.

So did we, we had a TD waived off on a BS illegal motion call.

Right or wrong, this is the only reason the games are being portrayed differently:

Clemson 2014 Outlook
quote:

I believe the Clemson Tigers will defeat Auburn on January 12 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington to claim its first national championship since 1981.

quote:

1. Clemson: I watched Clemson in person during their spring game weekend and believe the Tigers have the personnel on the defensive front to beat Georgia, Florida State, and South Carolina. It’s an ultra-talented group capable of playing stout run-defense and consistently affecting the quarterback. Write these names down (and watch the second video): Vic Beasley, Corey Crawford, Shaq Lawson, and Grady Jarrett.

Of course, when you think of Clemson, you think of offense. But the Tigers defense gives Clemson a legitimate chance earn a spot in the first-ever college football playoff. Let’s face it, the program took an important step last season by defeating Ohio State in the Orange Bowl and though they lose Tahj Boyd and Sammy Watkins, quarterback Cole Stoudt showed the he is certainly capable of running the show during the Tigers spring game. Although Stoudt will be a first-year starter, he is set to enter his fourth year in Chad Morris’ scheme and has accumulated valuable game experience along the way. In addition, Clemson is solid up front and has bevy of talent on the perimeter.

Arkansas 2014 Outlook
quote:

College Football Countdown | No. 89: Arkansas

quote:

So prepare for another season of painful results. Two sure wins: Nicholls State and UAB. A third win probably comes from Northern Illinois … maybe, at least. The rest are losses on paper, though I do think Arkansas snatches an SEC win after a season spent solely in the loss column. Four wins is my guess, with the potential for five should Allen and the passing attack defy my expectations. I can't imagine a scenario where Arkansas gets to six wins. That has to be enough. Why? Because that's all Arkansas is built to do. Keep focus on the future – it'll get better.

quote:

Dream season: Arkansas wins seven games: Nicholls State, Northern Illinois, Texas A&M, UAB, Mississippi State, Mississippi and Missouri.

No doubt Clemson was picked to be a bigger threat. But were they?

Who knows....

We'll all know in about 10 weeks...trouble is, MOST of us won't remember what this thread was about! Old age has its advantages!
