So the 2010 Oregon team that put up 42 points on Nick Saban after he had all off season to prepare? I'm glad your national championship team 4 years ago is your justification for holding A&M to half of what Alabama did.

If it is low scoring like that, it's only because AU stopped and A&M and itself. A&M's D is too garbage to hold AU to less than 40 without NM derping it up multiple times

Surely not 42 like Bama. Your defense isn't as good as Alabama's.

The D matches up better than Bama against A&M's style of play. AU leads the conference in tackles for loss. Manziel will have pressure behind the LOS.

Oh, so I guess it doesn't happen? A&M at Bama last year?

Just stfu. Your opinion is just that.

ROTFLMAO at the stupid in this thread.

Ole Miss is close to the style of play, HUNH, etc. Go back and compare what Ole MIss did vs. Alabama's and Auburn's D, then come back and say with a straight face that Auburn's D matches up better vs. aTm than Alabama's. Jesus fricking christ.

Yeah, so you're third in the SEC in sacks. You also got a fourth of all your sacks against those retards last night, along with almost a third of your sack yardage. The SEC teams you have already played are also in the bottom half of the league in sacks given up. So don't be so stupid as to think that just because you're #3 in th SEC in sacks right now, that it means that you're gonna be keeping JFF in the pocket and knocking him on his arse all day long.

And all of that's even before we take into account things like the fact that Auburn has the one of the worst pass defenses in the conference at #12. Yet suddenly these guys are going to be able to contain Mike Evans?

Meaning A&M has proven it can put up 40+ against good defenses. That was the first time Oregon was tested all year.

One of my best friends is an Auburn grad, who is coming to the game. She's in law school in Oklahoma with another Auburn buddy of mine. I expect to have lots of Auburn folks at my tailgate. Granted, they are both Texas transplants, but Auburn folks in general are really good people. I think the rant version is the most gump-like and delusional of the Auburn family.

AU's defense is actually pretty good.

Da fuq? You're 8th in the league in run defense, 11th in pass defense, and 10th in total defense. So that qualifies as "pretty good" with Auburn fans these days? Somewhere, Tommy Tuberville is laughing his arse off.

A&M really has been living right lately. I've never seen a team or a player have so many things seem to just go their way. It's some kind of mojo.

Let's be real here. Arkansas had a chance to win the game. Ole Miss probably should have won that game. JFF keeps on pulling rabbits out of his hat.

I can understand both points of view. Aggie is living on the edge yet it seems to be right where JFF wants to be. I've never seen anything like it in football to be quite honest.

LOL, Auburn is 21st in the country in PPG allowed (18.8).

Nobody gives a single frick about yards. Points lose the game.

What about scoring defense? I mean that does have more bearing on a game than yards right?

The best defense against JFF is keeping him on the bench.

Auburn is 12th in the league in time of possession.

And 1st in tackles for loss and 3rd in scoring defense. Yeah, they give up yards, but that doesn't concern me.

3rd in scoring defense
1st in tfls
2nd in red zone defense
3rd in pass efficiency defense
Etc.
Www
Total yards is a little high because we have been playing fast paced offenses thus number of plays is unusually high.

Secondary and defensive line are legit. Really, mlb is the only gaping hole in the defense. Other positions are solid to good.

So you use rankings for an argument and that is the response when a more legitimate ranking is shown to you? Weakness at its finest.
