They should just go to Disney World and purchase a fake one.

Money may be tight due to the QB fund..

Sounds like it's gonna look like the clothes line out in somebodies back yard.

It's only until the new trees are set and okay to roll.

And the power lines that used to square the intersection were rolled well before the trees ever were. Not like this hasn't been done before

All joking aside, it's a shame what the bama fan did. I'm one of the few LSU fans that enjoy the trip up to Auburn. It boggles my mind that some lunatic would do something as low down as this. I couldn't imagine someone coming to BR and destroying anything on our campus. The thought of such an act sickens me. I'm sure that fans of the schools in our conference with anything worth destroying (looking away from Starkville) would feel the same way.

Agreed, Harvey Updyke is a nut job but he represents a large part of that fanbase. I was listening to the Finebaum show when he called in and I remember thinking "Is this guy serious?"

I thought it was hilarious when the Bama fans were bitching about State fans putting the "We Believe" stuff on Bear's statue.

Wait... Auburn fans do what to their own tree???

And this is called a "tradition?"

When I was in middle school, my friends and I would go "tradition" our principal's and teachers' yarda.

Then we grew up and became too mature for such adolescent behavior.

Posted by NATidefan You'd think they'd build something a little nicer. Like a tree Statue.

After the sCam kNewton statue they would probably do better with the clothes line thingy

No he doesnt.

Alabama is a National brand and fanbase much like Texas, Ohio St., Mich., & ND.
Nothing State would know about.

Having such a large fanbase, it represents all backgrounds.

Having been to several Bama home games...Bama's fanbase is made up of mostly middle class & upper middle class suburban families, wealthy alumni and of course the students...that's pretty much all you see at Bama home games.

Harvey Updyke is pretty atypical of their fanbase.

Bama's gameday is really the most family-friendly I've seen in CFB...given the games & atmosphere on the Quad.

It's the only SEC venue I would feel safe taking my kids to...not as X-rated as, say, Baton Rouge on a gameday.
