"prepping for florida"
I have read that for 6 months now. Is that just y'alls exuces or did saban actually admit that he did not prep for Bama's biggest rival?

pretty sure everyone on the team admitted to 2009 being the year of the gator.

everything they did was in prep for UF, especially towards the end of the season

I'm not really worried about Auburn this year. Malzahn caught us with our pants down with that extra week and us using much of the UT-Chattanooga week prepping for Florida. I think Saban has learned his lesson and will devote much of his time prepping for Auburn during the week of the Georgia State game.

I'm more worried about an unnecessary and avoidable injury, like Prothro a couple years back, than I am about the team not being able to game plan properly or being fully rested.

Arkansas should make him nervous. Perfect timing for an upset and with Bama's inexperience in the secondary this year and Mallets arm....

Thats the game I would make a point not to overlook.

Tell me something, what has Chizik or any coach in the SEC not named Meyer accomplished that compares to Saban's resume?

Mark Ritch has won 77% of his games...Nick Saban 71%. Mark has a 7-2 bowl record...Nick 5-6. Mark has 2 SEC titles...Nick has 2. Seems like Mark has been fairly comparable.

Bama has a virtual off week before the Auburn game...Georgia State.

I'd definitely have the fans and cheerleaders do most of the heavy lifting in that one.

Really? Miles? He may suck now but he's got a pretty good resume A higher winning percentage than Saban IIRC?

But he doesn't have any NCs and plays in the East so how can his record be comparable?

His wins are over the course of his career. it was not that long ago that the SEC East was better than the West.

I realize that but Saban has taken two programs from almost mediocrity and built them back up into powers again and it only took him three years to get Bama back on top. Richt has had plenty of time and talent to do the same at Georgia but he hasn't.
