Faced with the prospect of having to face six SEC teams in 2010 coming off byes, Alabama coach Nick Saban said Thursday that one of those games sticks out.

"The thing I'm most concerned about is playing Auburn on a short week when they have a bye week (the week before)," Saban said. "Hopefully, we can do something to fix that."

He's a coach. He's paid to be nervous.

Well technically, he said concerned, not nervous.

Bama has a virtual off week before the Auburn game...Georgia State.

I'd definitely have the backups do most of the heavy lifting in that one.

Nick Saban does not get nervous, especially over Auburn.

Seriously, playing Georgia State is better than having an off week. Your starters get to play a quarter then watch the 2nd and 3rd string clean up. Chizik should complain that Alabama is playing Georgia State the week before the Iron Bowl

he is also working on moving the Ga. State game to Thurs. night to give a 10 day break before the auburn game. The week off for the aubs was a huge advantage last year for Auburn.

He better be concerned.

That game will make the whole season for Auburn.

For Alabama, it's just one more notch to Atlanta and the BCS.

He should be concerned. We have 4 days, Auburn has 2 weeks.

The starters damn well better not play an entire quarter.

I'm not really worried about Auburn this year. Malzahn caught us with our pants down with that extra week and us using much of the UT-Chattanooga week prepping for Florida. I think Saban has learned his lesson and will devote much of his time prepping for Auburn during the week of the Georgia State game.

"prepping for florida"
I have read that for 6 months now. Is that just y'alls exuces or did saban actually admit that he did not prep for Bama's biggest rival?
