Our game was the most miserably hot game I've ever attended.
So was ours, it was fricking disgusting out there on top of being against Murray State. I was honestly shocked our attendance was as high as it was.

The scoreboard was showing 100 degrees even after the evening kick off. The high humidity on top of the 100 degree temp was a real bitch. I didn't have a single drop of alcohol, sticking to bottled water and I still ended up puking when I got back to St. Louis.
It was pretty gross when the cash in my wallet was wet from the arse sweat.

Honestly, I would have expected more in Nashville as well
It was a sellout. Ole Miss traveled very well. It was 70/30 Vandy.

That must be tickets sold bec the WSU fans didnt show up. Thier upperdeck corner spots were bare and the heat/humidity kept some AU fans away.
Ppl were saying Sat that that game was one of the most miserable ones in years.

Good stuff--particularly when you account for the brutal temps down south.
Attendance by percentage of stadium capacity filled is an interesting metric too.

I was there, never more than 70,000 in the stands but a lot of people under the stands in the shade watching the flat screens. It was miserable hot.

Noon or 3 pm kickoffs should not be allowed in the SEC in August.

There were less than 85K. The stadium had tons of empty seats
It was as hot and muggy as it could get. I sit in the letterman area and a lot of the older guys there went to the lounge but the other areas were spaced out as well
That was a hot and muggy day for Alabama...

I was at game our attendance was truly about 90, 000. UT counts tickets sold and there were 10-15000 empty seats.

That's maybe the most striking example of why the SEC doesn't really care about the in stadium fan's experience as much as they do about the at home television viewer's experience. People are getting the message and staying at home to watch more games (whatever the paid attendance is ends up pretty different from the gates who actually show up)

We also used to have more seats, CD. We'll sell out SEC games - and maybe this week - so we'll see what capacity is now. Probably around your 104 or 105 K.
