Honestly, I would have expected more in Nashville as well.

It was sold out.

35K still seems low, even if it was in Houston. I expected something more towards the 50K range.

Week two will be even stronger.
I would expect Alabama, Miss St., LSU, Ole Miss, & Tennessee to increase attendance.
Should easily get over 1 million live fans in week two.

Subtract at least 15k from ours, since we're shipping a game to War Memorial Stadium to appease Stephens Inc.

The Alabama-VT game was a sell out, just in a smaller venue. We won't be helping out in week two, we're off.

Well our stadium is under construction currently so we made the hill smaller so less general admission tickets, and with cranes and construction everywhere there is less seats in upper levels too. Also it was one hot mother fricker so 58,000 was a near sellout for first game because capcity is less this year

Find that hard to believe after watching that game.

This. Huge sections in the end zones and upper level seats were empty. I would say it looked maybe 2/3 capacity, which is only 88,546.

I'd guess 55k.

The Toledo section was nearly empty. The "sunshine seats" in the upper end zone don't sell well in the first games. It was dreadfully hot. We shouldn't have games until the night for the first month or more.
