Was it down that much? I went both years and couldn't tell much difference?
Id also say the split was relatively the same as last year as well.

This Mizzou fan spent all his money on ALCS and WS games.

We drove over for the game and drove back home, didn't stay overnight or party in ATL. Saving up for New Years in 'Orleans.

Same here, only I let "Traveling with the Tide" do the driving.

I really don't think people realize how fricking far Atlanta is from Columbia. We left Atlanta this morning at 8 and we're still on the road home.
When you know you're going to get destroyed by the other team, it's hard to justify spending all the money and tickets, gas, hotel, and then drive 24 hours round trip.

I would've been there had I found anybody selling tickets for $20. I searched and couldn't find any for less than $150.

Got lower levels for below face value.
Cheap tickets was the main reason I made the trip.

Mizzou sold its allotment. Problem is, given the distance, the more casual fan who might make a 2-3 hour drive isn't going to make a 10 hour drive. So beyond the intense Mizzou fan, we aren't going to bring many more, especially being a 14 pt dog.

Yeah, I didn't expect Mizzou to bring a ton of people. I'm guessing most of their fanbase didn't give them a very good shot at winning, and it's a fricking long way to drive.

Bama did their part to fill the place. Try again.

I read reports it was 70/30. Not true?

You're asking an Auburn fan a math question? Get ready.

I think it was obviously a mismatch. Lot of money to travel that far.
But I would have thought Bammers would have taken every ticket. Easy drive on interstate.

My parents were there and they said it was closer to 90% Alabama. Other than that glob of Mizzou fans in the lower bowl there weren't any other large clumps in the building.

They had a bit in the upper deck above their main section, but there were a lot of Bama fans in that section as well.
