For a year or two until someone tops them.

This year they installed netting in all of the areas where bats were living, and removed all the guano. Thank Christ we don't have to deal with them anymore.

Y'all should do something to commemorate the bats, e.g., like name something after them.

Even though you guys prevailed last November, it's nice to see y'all doing things to improve the quality of the conference.

I just wish I lived closer! And I do wish they had wrapped the 3rd deck around the corners to hold more noise in, but that's a very minor complaint. It will be a fine stadium Aggies can be proud of.

Others have given their reasons for Bear being featured and I guess I'm repeating them, but it bears repeating. The Junction Boys camp turned out many outstanding athletes and future coaches and is of historical significance, at least to Aggies. I think having his name up there is a no-brainer. I'd love to see RC honored in some way, though. Maybe he has to die first (not a suggestion!).

That's a good looking stadium Aggies. I have to admit that I'm somewhat surprised and impressed.

Still behind Alabama's, Tennessee's, LSU's, and State's stadiums.

Mississippi State won't ever be ahead of Texas A&M in anything.

Can you imagine if a coach tried to pull something a fraction as hardcore as this today?

Bryant-Denny will still be nicer and still be hilariously quiet for a program of that caliber.

I love this sentence from your link:

"The only relief provided the players were two towels soaked in cold water; one towel was to be shared by the offensive players, and one by the defense."

So, no, you can't have any water on this all-day 100 deg. practice, but you can have a wet towel that is shared by 10 others. Bear would be in prison over this today, and maybe rightfully so. But he sure did produce some good players/future coaches.

Honestly I'll be a little surprised if those corners don't end up getting named after donors or corporate sponsors

IMO, Kyle Field has always been pretty interesting and cool as far as the additional 3rd decks and "unique"/cult-like fan base goes, and with these renovations it'll probably be the nicest. I still think BDS looks better though, mostly due to the aesthetics and symmetry if it.

The new Kyle Field reminds me of a nicer version of Penn State's Stadium....

The "Paul Bear Bryant" looks so strange on another team's stadium though.

There is a lot of speculation that the architects put Coach Bryant's name on as a placeholder.

With all due respect to the greatness of Coach Bryant, the attitude of most Aggies is that we appreciate what he did in College Station.

But most Aggies I have heard from do not favor having his name posted on our stadium. He belongs to Alabama.

aTm is about to be the new Florida of this league. Only SEC school in a huge, talent rich state + great facilities + great coach + excited fans + tons of money = awesome.

Too late, State leads A&M in SEC championships.
