no shite? LSU doesn't need Tulane to hold a camp in New Orleans

Tulanes current HC coached within 45 miles of College Station for 10 years of his life.

Working with A&M is just how it is.

What else could they get from these camps besides recruiting benefits? How would a camp in NOLA benefit Tulane more than two camps located across the state.

That might play a part but I doubt he is doing it purely out of friendship or that would be dumb.

yeah, his job is to do what's best for Tulane, not pull favors for old friends at the detriment of your own program

I'm not sure, I'm not expert on these camps so it would be hard for me to argue what it could be but I just don't see them doing it because they purposely want to make it harder on themselves.

Exactly, there are other ways he could help A&M out without pissing off the biggest University in the state.

It's a big part. He spent 10 years coaching in Texas and has attended hundreds of camps in college station.

He attended a leadership conference last year with Sumlin as well.

that's irrelevant. He doesn't coach for A&M. He coaches for Tulane. Doing favors for friends is all well and good unless it has a negative effect on the program that pays your salary. Pissing off LSU and getting blackballed from all the camps they're hosting for one camp in New Orleans with A&M? How does Tulane plan on getting exposure now in the rest of their home state? They need schools like LSU to invite them to camps because they don't have the budget to host them themselves. A&M is the only one benefiting from this, not Tulane.

So then it is dumb on Tulane's part if that is the reason they are hosting with A&M. Knock yourself out.

Where is the camp going to be hosted? Tulane campus?

What camp you think will pull more players in NOLA? One with Tulane and A&M, or one with LSU and every other program (besides Tulane) in the state at the Saints facility?

He is doing his team a disservice then if that is the driving motivation behind it but I doubt it.

I don't think you understand what I'm saying. He has the right to do what ever he pleases with his program. It still doesn't make it the right choice. It has nothing to do with A&M vs LSU. He should be doing what advances Tulane as a football team. As I said earlier though, I believe there is more to the story.

Just cut him loose. He doesn't care about any of that he just feels like he's winning because A&m is camping in Louisiana like that has ever helped them before.

This shite is going to be commonplace and is going to cause a lot of hard feelings between Coaches.

NCAA should have stood their ground and said no to the camps. Football is going to become like AAU basketball. Not good.

There doesn't seem to be as much scrutiny for LSU. They are preventing schools from camping in LA.

There is much more talent to be gained in LA than TX. There are already 5 "Power 5" schools in the state and all 10 Big 12 schools already host camps in TX.

LA is the promised land for recruiting.

It got buried but there was a thread about LSU doing the same thing to Arkansas. Standard stuff but I think not being able to put a camp into Texas hurts more than LA from Arkansas' perspective. Although, I think Arkansas will get a camp in Texas someway.

Aggies and Tulane are doing 5 camps in Louisiana. Nobody should be surprised that a lot of shite is being stirred, thanks to Harbaugh.
