The question is how do you compare the coaching pasts of guys who walked into gravy situations (Miles at LSU, Beilima at UW) vs. the guys who've been forced to rebuild dumpster fires (franklin at VU, Freeze at OM)?... Sumlin is sort of caught in the middle of the two... he didn't exactly inheret dumpster fires at either UH or A&M... and Manzeil could make a lot of coaches look like miracle workers.

I mean, I know he's not Saban, but come the frick on. Dude recruits top 10 every year, won a NC, dominated the country in 2011 in best regular season in history, multiple SEC Championships, hired Chavis and Cam Cameron, and is primed for a dominating recruiting class next year.

I mean WTF. Dan Mullen, Richt, Franklin over Les?

Even Spurrier gets his arse handed to him by Les every time now.

1) Won 7 his first year
2) Landed a top 10 class
3) Took one year instead of four to beat a Western Division team not coached by Houston Nutt.

In Mullens first year
1 went 5-6 against #1 SoS with last second losses to LSU and AU, the eventual NC
2. Meh
3. Mullen beat OM's greatest team ever in 09. Who did Freeze beat that worth a shite?

What a shitty, shitty ranking.

Clearly Les should be behind Muschamp.

That's why it's so arbitrary. If you are going to call Les underachieving, why not Richt?

Has Mullen even showed improvement against decent teams after four years?

If my coach couldn't gameplan for Luis covington and cliff Coleman.. Its time to quit

Miles had had a worse record than Mullen and Franklin have had when he was at a similar school at Oklahoma State.

Give Mullen and Franklin the talent and resources that Miles has and it aint even close.

In their defense, they didn't get a chance to play Mississippi State every year.
