How is mullen not rated as the worst coach in the western division? He's accomplished absolutely nothing in the division, conference, or nationally.

repeat after me "Miles won with Miles players"

the truth will set you free. you'll feel much better. there's no need for you to keep carrying the burden of these lies any longer.

I wish that was true. But I was out of diapers in teh 90s so I can't pretend that makes any sense.

I'm pretty sure the SEC title game in 2011 was a meaningfull game.

it's not the truth though. The juniors and seniors that carried that team to the 'ship were a Saban recruits. Les has not won a 'ship with a roster of 100% miles recruits.

Without Flynn and Hester LSU doesn't win the title or even come close.
Yeah because Flynn's monster stats of 2407 yds 21 TDs 11 Ints 56.3 completion % would have been impossible to replace, especially since we had that guy Ryan Perrilloux who was just the SECCG MVP that year.

I will never speak bad about Hester. But our backfield had Keiland Williams, Charles Scott, Trindon Holliday, Richard Murphy and Stevan Ridley.

Was Hester and Flynn vital to our championship? Of course

But to say that a team that featured the kind of talent that squad had wouldn't "come close" to a title makes you look so damn dumb.

Yet, you've managed to ignore each post were I gave you the facts to disprove your entire theory...

there are no facts to disprove my theory. my "theory" is just that this is a good list. I'm sorry this is such an offensive point of view to some of you.

Taking another crack at it I suppose. Here goes:

1. Nick Saban
2. Steve Spurrier
3. Les Miles
4. Mark Richt
5. Will Muschamp
6. Kevin Sumlin
7. Bret Bielema
8. James Franklin
9. Gary Pinkel
10. Hugh Freeze
11. Dan Mullen
12. Butch Jones
13. Gus Malzahn
14. Mark Stoops

I really do like coaches 5-7 FWIW. I think they are all solid hires who may do something. Pinkel may be gone after this year but he was still a solid hire for MU even though I don't think they have figured out a philosophy to transition into the SEC successfully (their recruiting philosophy strikes me as dumb)

Sabans recruits who never saw the field.....Miles' players. Miles has won a championship with a roster of 100% Miles players. i watched the game...it was pretty awesome.

stop living behind the web of lies. just say it and the burden will be lifted

all those words you're typing don't change that they were Saban recruits and Miles has never won a ship without Saban's recruits.

Flynn & Hester were a big part of that '07 team. I don't how many more games LSU would lose without those two.

ETA: I don't think it is even worth ranking the new hires since we do not know how they will turn out. Also, UGA fans, I am not knocking Richt, but I would rather rank a guy who has won a Natty ahead of him.

Won the SEC in 2011, but I guess you are talking natties. Who else other than Saban on that list above Miles has won a national title since Miles in 2007? Who else even played for one?

LSU probably would have been better off not hiring a head coach at all after Saban left. His recruits were so wonderful, they didn't require any coaching at all.

i don't care if your dumb arse recruited them...Miles coached them. they were his players and they won a NC together. i watched the game....i know it happened.

you can only carry this burder for so long. let it go...you'll feel much better. just say it..."Miles won with his players"
