He said in his interview he knew the laptop deal was "too good to be true".
He probably knew that shite was stolen, and from there the report outlines what went down. Mugshots look thuggin.
look up one post.. exactly he said that. In the police report, it stated HE STOLE IT. Therein, lies the lie.

I don't understand how that line couldn't be used in context of buying the laptop from the back of a car.

lol... well, whatever. plenty information is out there about ALL issues related to Cam. i guess it's just up to the individual to believe what they want to.
i ran outta fuel for the thread and gotta bolt on home from the lady's place. night fellas.
ross.... man, dude.. i've TOLD You stay outta threads when i'm talking! i'm GONNA keep being a foghorn about the truthful points of these stories. i still want a white flag with you. i swear it's not personal. it's just what happens when you stand in my way when i'm trying to keep people from believing something that's untrue.
later y'all.
ps, what kind of country do we live in where we have to create drama that doesn't even matter?
in other countries, men have to hunt food to survive... and in some cases, the food would very easily disembowel them. roll tide. and America, f'k yeah!

I don't keep personal vendettas on message boards over simple disagreements.
I hold vendettas when people are completely moronic, such as several people in Tuna's little thread.

ok one more note... just because i do want the white flag, and i do side with ross here.
i totally agree that Cam was saying "I took it" meaning "uh, yeah...i bought it from the guy."
do y'all really think a guy selling stolen shite from his trunk wouldn't care that Cam stole it from him? do y'all think he'd just LET him do it? i don't.

Read page 4. Cam was heard saying, "There was a computer and I took it."

Does the innocent until proven guilty apply to the agreed upon facts that his dad did shop him around... in clear violation of the rules.
Always a shortcut or entitlement for this guy - laptop stealing, cheating on grades... You can't make this up.

meh.. i'm hardcore bama, but THAT kind of statement does NOT imply theft necessarily. and i WILL tell you, i think he knowingly bought it from the guy.
i mean, it's possible he stole it. but from my perspective, highly unlikely. i just don't think a guy selling stolen stuff out of his trunk would have allowed Cam to steal something from him. cam would have likely been shot for some shite like that.

I heard you the first time and I responded to it.
Anyway, I'm tired, peace out homies. m2pro, don't fret. If I held message board grudges then me and Alahunter would never speak to each other civilly.

The "I bought it hot" excuse is pretty common from thieves. I think "I took it" means Cam stole it from another student.
Posted on 12/6/10 at 10:47 pm to m2pro
Well.. when a police officer hears someone say they took it, then he says he bought it later in interviews, that in itself is a discrepancy. I'll take the word of the police officer ten ways to Sunday in this incident and believe it's more likely he is the one that stole it outright and lied last month about buying it. Especially since no name ever surface about who he bought stolen merchandise from. You'd think they'd look into a fencing operation.

The fact that the D.A. dropped a felony theft charge, and that Newton's lawyer was at one time bargaining for Selling Stolen Merchandise, a WORSE charge than he ended up with...is quite telling.
Then consider the police report said he had multiple gaming systems and another laptop in his room when they searched it...
If this was anyone other than a football player, what would you believe?

yeah police officers never stretch the truth when trying to get convictions

I am actually thinking it won't be as large a landslide as people think. The voters pussy-up in front of the camera and say they wioo vote for Scam, but when they are by themselves I bet a lot don't. Of course we know where Finebaum's vote is going

Exactly. And I don't see the gray area in the statement, I saw a computer and took it. Had he said, he had a computer and I got it, then yeah.. maybe he bought it hot.. but he said he took it, meaning he stole it.

I have a predetermined disposition to stick to my guns that Newton is a little angel, so I believe his story.
And I at least think his story sounds plausible enough
