You can trust me, I'm not being fake. I'm simply adhering to innocent until proven guilty, a mentality I've always tried to embrace.

i literally just sighed.. it's like you're not even hearing what we're talking about.. at all. this is NOT only about 1 thing... it's about the entire SUM of Cam's actions... that's what we're talking about here that i felt made him unworthy of a Heisman trophy... not the cash thing... hell, if you wanna know my honest opinion.. i HONESTLY feel that the 13 moving violations, the cheating, and the stealing stuff are all worse.

it would be a temptation for anyone in cam's family's position to accept money if they were told how "normal" this all was... and not to mention how much money they all make off of your son... and that it's not ILLEGAL technically speaking.

i find it more electrifying that he'd drive with reckless abandon... cheat... and steal.

Ross, just reading this argument gives me headaches.

Notice that there has been no mention of what that "close friend of the Newtons" said on Finebaum today. Other fans chose to believe what the caller said about Cam's father being at the SECCG but ignored his explanation of what he was told happened because it exonerated Auburn and Cam.

It just shows you that posters on here will spin any info to make Cam look guilty. He might actually be guilty, but please let the facts determine his guilt.

Off the top of my head, DeQuan Bowers and Nick Fairley were better this year.

Well, that's why multiple people get to vote, huh?

EDIT: Damn, how messed up is that Newton and Fairley are Auburn's representatives to the world? (I know you don't understand me Auburn fans, but trust me, that's not good) Which one drives the white Bronco?

audodger, i didn't think it wasn't his plan. i'm not saying his heart is totally fricking rotten to the core... in fact, i'm not saying he's a bad guy. ALL i've been frickin saying is that there are other candidates that have a more sterling record than he does, and that that should count for something.

So you are saying that you couldn't give the Heisman to someone who got a bunch of traffic tickets and bought a stolen laptop a couple of years ago? Please answer this question, yes or no.

While this is great in a court of law, this is not how we live our lives. We can't issue search warrants and put people on the stand to find out the truth with certainty. Instead, we all take our best guess. If you think someone has been fricking you over, you wouldn't invite him to come hang out because he's "innocent until proven guilty".

In the case of the Heisman you have to consider the probabilities. In my estimation it is more likely Cam is guilty than innocent. In addition, I think it is a lesser evil to award the Heisman to a lesser player instead of one that is falsely accused than it is to award the Heisman to a guilty player. Consequently, I wouldn't award the Heisman to Cam.

yes. that is what i've said all along........ .... . ....

he's a dumb kid with a bad decision making processor. OTHER KIDS HAVE OUTPERFORMED HIM in those areas... they act smart and make good decisions. they deserve it ahead of him.

not saying cam is a bad guy.... you guys only perceive that because of your own denial. if you guys weren't in denial about all things Cam, i wouldn't feel the need to spell them out for you.

Yes.

Remember... you said "a bunch of traffic tickets" like it didn't mean anything. Not me. I believe it means he feels the rules didn't apply to him. You also tried to make it seem like it doesn't matter that he bought a stolen LAPTOP because it happened a couple years ago. I didn't. I think it shows that he doesn't care about the guy whose laptop it was... it was Cam's after he paid for it.

YOU ALSO forgot another criteria... This isn't an award that only Cam qualified for and is therefore running against no one more deserving.

Cam is running against 4 other guys that haven't fricked up like he has. He should therefore pull less votes... if people voted for him, they're basically saying that character has nothing to do with the Heisman trophy.

This shite is easy to understand. You are making it difficult... i have explained this shite over and over.
