As the game draws closer, the haters become more enraged.

With every sports channel (and even some network airtime) extolling the virtues of both Alabama and Clemson more and more, the closer the game gets, it's obvious that many of the Bama haters out there are reaching their tolerance limits. The posts relating to Alabama seem to be getting more venomous and confrontational. Hell, it's just a game and if your team isn't playing in it, there's really no reason to allow it to ruin you frame of mind...just relax and enjoy the event.

You know that this is called the "Rant" for a reason. This is nothing but the troll board and everyone should expect that. Our rivals aren't just automatically just say "we give up ".

I don't waste the time to hate bama. Like with Finebaum's BamaNetwork, whenever I see bama on ESPN, I simply change channels as I have no interest whatsoever. It takes invested interest to hate. And the local talk shows around here have little to say about the game, either. ESPN's simply trying to make up for its huge revenue loss over the playoff games which bombed on tv ratings.

People hate powerhouse teams that win with consistency. UK, Duke, UNC, Kansas, etc see it on the basketball end. It just is what it is.

...then there are more "investments" around here than are on the books at Bank of America!

We get it. Everyone hates the dominant force in the sport unless they're a fan of it.
Most baseball fans hate the damn Yankees. Honestly they should officially change the name to that. But there's zero question they're the alpha dog of the sport. Lots of people watch the World Series if they're in it hoping they'll lose.
We're the alpha dog of college football. It will be a long time before someone's on a level to rival that.
Until then we'll just have to deal with the anklebiters of L5U and the barn and other lesser programs who can't stand it.

They all really hate this game. Period. Why? That's because every intelligent fan that knows football already knows what is going to happen. The point spread is too low for this one. Easy money.

I "hate" bama and I'm pretty indifferent about the game. I watched about 20 minutes of espns coverage yesterday and that is all the commentary I've watched on it. After work tomorrow I'll watch a few hours of lead up, watch the game unless it turns into a route and that's about it.
