Seriously? Dallas isn't even in the SEC footprint other than TAMU which will always be the bastard child of the state. Why the frick would you move the headquarters to an outpost so far removed from the rest of the conference?

Aggy will need the SEC more if and when Texas returns. If Texas returns to being a great team A&M will pretty much become irrelevant so a&m will
need the SEC for respectability even if they are just another Ole Miss in conference
Anyway I think if you want to say the best place for SEC HQ it would be Memphis
The reason Dallas was mentioned was because of flights. Same with Atlanta

Atlanta is the only possibility worth mentioning because it's centrally located. But the SEC headquarters doesn't NEED to be moved anywhere. You and every other fan base are just butt hurt that Bama has kicked your arse consistently since 2008 so you're grasping at straws trying to figure out a way to fix it.

Right now I would:
1. Have a 9 game conference schedule;
2. Allow scheduling of only 2 patsies from non-P5 conferences;
3. Move Auburn to the East and Mizzou to the West;
4. Have no cross-division permanent rivals;
5. Ban scheduling of Notre Dame until they join a P5 conference; and,
6. Encourage all East schools that don't already schedule ACC teams to do so and all West teams to schedule B12 schools.

If I were commissioner, I would work with the academic community to get Georgia and UT into the AAU and move other schools closer.
Edit: Who downvotes getting deserving schools into the AAU? WTF. Then again, if I was a fan of a conference who lost over half its AAU schools in 2 years I would downvote too.

I raise the standards for anyone wanting to get in the SEC. Either bluechip flagship in a bordering state or gtfo. And no tag along little brothers.

We don't have to do anything. The SEC is in great shape and can afford to sit out the next round of realignment if it can't get exactly what it wants.
I like your two, but the ACC has a big GOR in place for another 15 years. So it's probably limited to B12 teams. None of the B12 is very exciting to me, but if 2 of the 3 B12 flagships were interested and it increased payouts, maybe I do it. No little brother tag-alongs under any circumstances if I'm in charge.

If the XII dissolves, how does that make VT available? Last I checked they were in the ACC. Doesn't the GoR in ACC go until the 2030s?
