Yeah, totally bro. I mean Sims only holds the single season passing record.

Hell, JPW set the record twice. Once under Shula.

Don't be so sensitive Bama. I have huge props to your coaching staff. My point is Kiffin has made Simms and Crater face look like damn good qbs. The guy is a fantastic coach and Saban is a fantastic coach for hiring him
When do you start high school?

I don't think he ever even celebrates. Maybe Saban and Lane created him in a lab. Dude is cool as a cucumber.
And . . . he was cheering on his teammates when he wasn't in the game.
Pretty awesome.
But people do need to put the brakes on a bit. Barnett looked to be a better passer to me - Hurts threw into double coverage and had one wide open due to a busted coverage.
But still . . .

Let's pump the brakes, now. Sims was a very serviceable QB. Hurts has far more potential, but until I see him demonstrate the ability to consistently move the chains on third down, it will remain potential.
This.
When I see him do it on the road against Ole Miss, then I'll buy in.
Pretty excited about his potential though.

Blake Sims was a RB with a good arm. Hurts can be the real deal. However, he was inconsistent and turned the ball over TWICE. I think Kelly is the best QB in the conference; right now.
The only thing that hurts Jalen is experience.

Man I remember thinking the same thing when Anthony Jennings came in and led Lsu to victory over Arkansas, those were the days

I'm proud to have been on the Team Hurts bandwagon from day one. I was actually pleasantly surprised by Barnett's performance late in the game as well. He made some good throws and nice reads. He's a lot better than some of the game manager QBs who have started for Bama over the years. I don't need to name them. You know who they are.

Agree. Hurts has all the potential to be on the same level as a Cam or Johnny Football.

Sims was a great athlete who played QB, Hurts is a QB who is a great athlete. Now I didn't say great QB, he has the tools, but he has some serious growing up to do.
