Exceptional 2 games in a row by Leonard Fournette, best 2 game stretch in the country...
but I am a homer and I still want Chubb

LF appears to be the best player. but he plays, with a few exceptions, on a very pedestrian looking team. and that team has only played scrub opponents. So the contrast looks quite stark.
it will be interesting to see how LF and LSU do in games with strong rush D. Have to wait for Florida and Alabama. RBs are punished less than QBs for losses in heisman voting so I expect him to be in New York if he keeps this up.

Give him the Heisman. He is a force.

he bogus argument of "LF is being run more than Chubb".
LF has been run 73 times in one fewer game (24 carries per game) as compared to Chubb's 71 (17.75 caries per game).
So...

And if he had lesser carries he would still be averaging more yards per carry. Because he's better

My question is, how was Gurley so great too? Product of the system ? Bama like ?

Freak athlete. UGA has just been on a run of absurd RB talent starting with Crowell.

LSU has a history of playing a lot of its best players on special teams. Whatever helps you sleep at night I guess.
My point is that Chubb killing him in stats last year is fallacy. They both had great years.

JEEBUS!!!
We are two dudes arguing over which Super-model is the prettier date.
Stop arguing and enjoy the dance.
Both guys are phenomenal talents. I am glad I get to watch both play. I will cheer like hell for LF because I am an LSU fan. However, i see no need to have UGA fans "acknowledge" his 'superiority'.
We BOTH should enjoy the dance. And, i'll even steal a few ogles at the other dude's super-model date ever now and then

And the exact same thing could be said of this year.
It's the Julio Jones/AJ Green argument all over again.

Jim Boheim, Carmelo Anthony, Gerry McNamara seemed like a tough out for the mighty Tigers.
And Chubb had almost 500 yards more than Fournette did last year and over 2 ypc. Yes he killed him in stats.
Fournette has better stats than Chubb this year, that can be your case.

I'm fine with that. Just enjoy the ride.

Listen to Fournette talk. He does what he does for his team. The guy is always complimenting his blockers and teammates.

They did both have great stats last year. Thinking Chubb didn't clearly beat Fournette in stats last year is absolutely comical though. That's not what my point was in the OP. My point was, that right now, there is no better player in CFB.
