As of right now, Leonard Fournette is clearly the best player in college football

Leading the nation in rushing yards per game by 42 yards, and 5th in yards per carry. Would have rushed for 300+ yards if not for a silly illegal formation penalty on a wide receiver who wasn't on the line of scrimmage. The Chubb vs. Fournette battle is going to be really entertaining over the course of the season, and things could change over the coming weeks, but as of right now, I think everyone can agree that Fournette is the best player in all of college football and a very rare talent.

Agree

Hope we can get a match-up in ATL and we'll put Chubb at LB to settle this debate

Fournette is playing Eastern Michigan this week.

They are allowing a nation's worst 373 yards per game on the ground after playing:
Old Dominion
Wyoming
Ball State
Army

Allowing 6.7 yards per carry and 18 rushing TDs.

Oh

See this is the difference in our fans. We actually acknowledge when LF has a couple of better games. Chubb kills him in stats last year and all we hear about is "potential".

Excited to see what Chubb does against some real competition.

Fournette is also being thrust into the same role Chubb had last year. They're riding him to wins at LSU. Meanwhile, Chubb has settled into a role as a key player in a much more complete offense (as opposed to the Fournette-like role he played last year).

Overall, I wouldn't necessarily say one is flat out better than the other, but Fournette is definitely more integral to his team's success right now and he's playing his role at a higher level than anyone in the country.

Given that Chubb didn't burst onto the scene until Game 6 of the season last year, no he didn't get any Heisman pub.

Both of these young men are uber-talented and a thrill to watch. I just hope that they continue to have success and stay healthy.

LF is averaging more yards per carry while playing in 3 games compared to chubbs 4 so please GTFO with that lame argument.

Umm... you sure you know what yards per carry means there boss?

And it's not that we're coming around slowly IMO, it's that we're coming around based on results. Fournette pretty clearly has the better stats and more impressive runs this year.

And Chubb is riding a 12 game streak of 100 or more yards, averaging 156 yards per game while splitting carries with possibly the most underrated RB in the conference in Sony Michel and a legitimate passing game.

Fournette is having the better season and means more to his team's success right now. But saying one player is flat out better than the other is attempting to split the finest of hairs.

Yeah i do and it just discredits the bogus argument of "LF is being run more than Chubb". Leonard is doing more with his carries
