As Day One of The Great ButtHurt of 2017 begins,and shell-shocked Bama fans reassure themselves with tales of past glory, in a sort of anthropological, sub-cultural Group Hug, surrounded by their sisters and cousins in a display of familial support one only sees in Alabama and parts of Utah, let us pray for our stricken brothers. And although we worry for them, and try our best not to agitate their delicate hubris-fed sensibilities, we wonder to ourselves,what kind of recriminations and psychological distress will we witness ? Existential melts? Porn bomb board suicides? Psychological Deflection? Threats of violence? Social withdrawal?
Prayers.

LSU fans' reverse melt has been far more incredible than anything Alabama fans have done. It has been glorious.
But we knew that would be the case. Talked about it in depth before the game. I have a nephew in first grade who has never seen Bama lose to LSU. And you people are here acting like you just kicked our asses yourselves.
I love it. Nothing sums up the two programs any better than the glory that has been this board over the last 12 hours.

Attaboy ! Psychological deflection, although very transparent, can be a valuable coping strategy and is much more constructive than taking hostages.

The Great Butthurt of 2017 is likely to last a long time. So let's keep the focus on our poor Gump brethren who have suffered a grievous blow. They need us now more then ever. And we have a duty to be there for them, in this their time of need.

Nice try, but that was a robbery. Had nothing to do with the game. I know you were praying it was a disgruntled fan and that someone would end up dead, but you're just going to have to go back to dickriding Clemson.
