So, I suppose a leading neurologist testifying before congess that fatigue can lead to injuries didn't happen and/or you are smarter than a neurologist !!
No one has ever disputed this. However, there is ample time in college football to make defensive substitutions. Blame the coach for leaving a guy in too long. You don't need to change the rules. Also, if you can't be on the field for 3 or 4 straight plays, you need to get in better shape. That's just pathetic.

Personally I would rather just allow defenses to sub as needed since offenses already have the advantage of knowing the snap-count and the likely point of attack, etc. It's a guessing game for defenses and they definitely expend more energy when they guess wrong.

The defense has it's own advantages too. Like being able to move around as much as they want, in attempt to get the ofefnse to jump.

Yes, another reason why the defense expends more energy thus the need to substitute more often than the offense

Saban is a pussy. A fear driven, scared arse, manipulative bitch.

Bear Bryant would not respect him.

All this coming right on the heels of him hiring Lane frickin' Kiffin.

The 'Bama fans I know see it for what it is - a strange desperation from a coach they didn't think would act like this - and has no real need to.

Kind of bizarre behavior, imvho.

Saban's time at Bama and maybe coaching all together is close to being over. I said it last season and his offseason actions further prove it. Something is not right with the guy. I been watching him since 2000 when he came to LSU. Since the beginning of last season he has been acting totally out of character. He has never smiled and celebrated like he did when they beat LSU last year, even after winning it all. In the past Saban never would have had anything to do with a scumbag like kiffin. Now this whole attempt at changing rules? Its not like him, he has sudden become rediculously insecure.

Let me say, Saban is a great coach and I hope he stays around another 10 years. He's one of the best ever. But this isn't about coaching. He was sneaky. He got caught.

Let the rule die and use the talent we've signed to overcome that which burned us this past year. He's overstepping his role as coach by changing rules to benefit Alabama. Bielema is his main supporter. That's really all I need to say.

If he really is embarrassed about something he has absolutely 0 say in, he needs to get a life.

Sure, ive been disappointed when Alabama has played bad and lost but never embarrassed. Even during the dark years, I was never embarrassed to be a Bama fan.

As for the Auburn fan calling Bama fans "sheep," I didnt see hoards of Auburn fans blasting the Auburn coaching staff when they were obviously pulled the fake injury crap and Malzahn got called on it in a post game interview.
