Exactly, he knows this whole thing is ridiculous. That's why he's having Bert be the mouthpiece for it. Saban knows what he's doing.

You are a fool OP. Alabama did a pretty decent job of stopping Auburn at a point in the season which they were on fire.

Im not a big fan of this rule, but please get your head out of your butt.

He's a turncoat arse fan....he's basically just drawing attention to himself because he isn't happy with Saban. I'm sorry all the championships haven't made you like Saban. Turn in your fan card by 5pm today or all the trees in your yard are belong to us.

A&M and Auburn have put Saban is a reactionary mode. Saban has largely dictated the pace and style of SEC football since 2000, the way that Spurrier did before him. Inferior teams have figured out how to attack his defense effectively. So he is uncharacteristically flailing about at this point, aware that there is no way that he can get back to the top of the mountain without some kind of Saban Exception. The two game losing streak, the hiring of Kiffen, the lobbying against cfb trends, all demonstrate a serious Crisis In Confidence.

Yeah I'm not exactly thrilled with this entire situation but I think it's ridiculous for a Bama fan to call coach a coward.

If we had a half decent NG and a OC worth a damn last year we wouldn't be having this discussion

Do you disagree with what I posted? It's actually smart on Saban's part. Push the rule change from behind the scenes and let Bert take the beating for sounding like a moron. It may even work out for him.

I'm sure Saban is embarrassed to have you as a fan. You don't have all the facts or an understanding of what is happening but you are embarrassed. Give me a break.

If that's what is going on then yes. I would agree with you about it being smart.

Nobody is saying collapse. Just a Crisis in Confidence and a questioning of schemes because of heightened competition and this new trend that makes you wear more hats defensively. Not to mention it forces you to be able to score in a hurry to keep up. Saban has NOT figured that out. Not saying he won't. Not flaming.
