you can make the offense jump

you just can't do it in the neutral zone

the D can sub at any time prior to the snap.

While this is true the O can line up with the threat of snapping the ball and sit on the line while coaches like Gus wait to signal in the play thus preventing the D from subbing in their package.

This is the crux of Nick's complaint.....

They can absolutely try to get the offense to jump. It happens all the time.

That's not what you implied with your first post, but it is also wrong, I think.

In NFL any player within one yard or LOS can not make a movement that draws a false start. I think that is the same rule for CFB

they can also be called for a penalty for doing it, especially if in neutral zone

I assumed most knew the rules of football. I didn't imply they could cross over into the neutral zone. I said they could move around as much as they wanted.

I never mentioned anything about being able to cross over into the neutral zone.

You shouldn't misquote people, or assume I'm 'implying' anything.

Then a hell of a lot of penalties should have been called.

he's just making shite up

he just said that if an offensive player moves, they can call a penalty on the defense, especially if in the neutral zone.

So you admit what you stated was false. At least we are getting somewhere.

The offense is also restricted on their subbing far more than the d. And a smart trained coaching staff can sub against a hunh. Sorry Saban hasn't figured It out yet.

LSU subbed players in left and right against every HUNH team we played. It's certainly doable.

No, it's not. His complaint is "player safety". It's stupid as shite.

1): Who are we to question Saban's judegment as to HUNH and player safety? He says it has an impact.

2): Secondly, Saban has also been on the record about the ability of the D to sub. I don't know where this shite comes from about SOLELY player safety. He is on the record that the HUNH has inherient flaw as far fairness to the D to get its personel on the field.

3): Lastly, I have been consistent in my position that Saban has a view and is certainly entitled to use his bully pulpit. You say the safety issue is b.s.....Nick says it ain't....but if Nick wants it then its good for Bama...and at the end of the day I am down for what helps Bama not what is good for Gus and Auburn.

HEY now. If the second thing is true, then why should "we" not be allowed to question Saban? Y'know, when "at the end of the day" it will help his team and might hurt ours?

Double standard much? A much too much.
