You're somewhat missing the mark here. The problem is that they haven't been able to beat Alabama since that game. Seeing Miles beat Saban is the only salve for that wound. This year, with Fournette running all over everybody and Coker looking rough at times, they thought it was their time. Their anticipation levels were through the roof.

What happened in Tuscaloosa this season was like a kid being really good all year, asking Santa for the toy du jour, then finding nothing but a pile of shite in his stocking.
