As an Alabama fan I would like to sincerely apologize to the LSU fanbase

It seems that we have done a great disservice to you and your team not just once, but now it seems twice. 1/9 was never meant to be a program breaking affair. It was merely a team proving it's worth and dominance when faith in them had faltered due to a single bad game. But what was meant to happen and what actually happened were 2 different things.
The very fabric of the LSU football program was torn that day and there has yet to be a seamstress found good enough to mend it. Since that day, Alabama has rattled off an additional 4 in a row, and LSU has yet to find the success and dominance they once held in the division.
This year we seem to have repeated our transgression but to a much greater degree. The previously #2 team in the country that was a favorite for the national championship will now be lucky to make a tier 2 bowl game and their shoo-in for the Heisman likely won't even get an invite to New York. Add to that the seemingly imminent departure of their beloved coach despite his $15 million buyout, his national championship ring, and a very impressive win/loss record.
For these things, I apologize and I wish you the best of luck replacing your war torn general. I will personally miss Les. I loved to hear his mastery of words during press conferences and his insatiable appetite for both success and chlorophyll on the football field. He will be difficult to replace, not only on the sidelines, but in the hearts of the Tiger faithful who have been so unwavering in their support for him.
May his successor have the chest to fill his shoes.

I think the Bama fan showed some class not going for the kill and getting all nasty.

It's our comeuppance for making the Bear quit in the 80's. Hell maybe we can return the favor and make Saban's arse quit in a few years.

I would be angry at this if it weren't true. Some people in the LSU fanbase will never forgive Les for that day. It's sad it was almost 4 years ago and people still can't move on. No matter how many times you tell them it doesn't matter the coach or QB that game. Bama was the better team and that pains me to say because i loved that 2011 team. They were awesome to watch for 13 games.

It was a good team for sure. Just came up a bit short.... of midfield.

I'm not convinced Alabama was the better team. The truth is that the two teams were very evenly matched but Alabama came out with a new game plan and we didn't.
It wasn't about the team, it was about coaching and preparation. It was fricking embarrassing to see a team of that caliber get shut down in a championship game because they were much much better than that.

Offering a detached analysis of the game isn't an indicator that I haven't "moved on." Alabama wasn't more talented than LSU, they were better prepared. I'd continue to argue that with you if you choose not to be an a-hole about it.

Not sincere and not very nice.

It was completely unfair for them to have to play Saban twice, but it happened LSU lost and i moved on. It probably took me longer than normal to get over it but i did. The LSU fanbase needs to get over it as a whole though. It is a huge black cloud hanging over the fanbase and the program in general. The players have to feel it and can't get over the hump.

Lsu was damn good, I mean damn freaking good. Then someome told Alabama they were supposed to win and stop playing around.
