I know, my point was more that I'd rather my kid be running with a douche like Manziel over the guy who might hit/force himself on her. Neither are good role models by any stretch, but Manziel's worst moral offense is being drunk and (presumably) banging skanks.

Ugh, wasn't Manziel in a bar fight a while back

ALLEGEDLY..........

He was involved in said altercation after someone used a racial slur on one of his teammates.

Needless to say, I have my doubts. Maybe he was, maybe he wasn't.

These days, I just assume he's being a dbag like usual and wait to be proven wrong

I'm glad there's a few people in Louisiana that know what's up, and aren't happy with Les Miles constantly sweeping things under the rug. Nothing will change, but it's encouraging that there's a few decent people in the media down there.

WHAT """""Things""""""" is he sweeping?
How is it """"""Constant""""""?

You mean like dismissing Ryan Perrilloux and Tyrann Mathieu ?? Suspending Jefferson ??

That kind of 'sweeping under the rug?

Hill let a 14 year old girl give him a BJ when he was in """"""HIGH SCHOOL.""""""" And when he was """""SEVENTEEN YEARS OLD""""""".
He paid for that by having to sit out a year before starting college.

This punch he threw was at a drunk frat boy who was egging him on. And the punch did not affect him. He got back up right after, inebriated and all.

I agree he should be suspended for a few games, but how in holy hell should he lose his college football career because of ONE PUNCH ????????

"Daily"? They're allowed to have lives outside of football.
____________________________________________________
Did u not realize this? Football players do some team activity daily. Life or school work happens before and after practice and the games?
Wow dude I actually thought u had a clue about this stuff.

In the much bigger scope of life, yes killing or raping someone is way worse but that is only going to affect that one player not everyone else. He will have to answer for that by himself.
_______________________________________________

Not true at all.
Getting kicked off a team for killing or raping someone affects everyone else, too.
________________________________________________
Wrong Again. If that were the case how would any of us make it thru a day. Violent crime happens by the second? Teams move on when one guy does something stupid or goes down. Next man up. Again are u sure u are in the military?

Yeah, A&M is big, bad, and evil.

I'm really not sure what point you were trying to make, to be honest. If you really think a player raping or killing someone doesn't affect everyone else the same as accepting money for autographs, I'm speechless at your position.

The one thing we all found out about you is that u are rarely speeechless.
But Really? How can u not understand that breaking a NCAA rule affects the entire team. Forfeiting all the games, loss of scholarships, no bowl games?
Kicking one kid off a team is part of the deal at any level.Whether losing a guy to academics, injury or stupidity, u gotta move on. Every team, every year has at least one of these things happen to them. Its life as a ball player or coach.

Dude get a clue. Im done here.

Learn how the quote function works. Your posts are a fricking nightmare to read

quote:

You are supremely ignorant. What happens during the summer? Or on break? You made it seem like they need to be in the locker room 24/7.

quote:

Wrong Again. If that were the case how would any of us make it thru a day. Violent crime happens by the second? Teams move on when one guy does something stupid or goes down. Next man up.

If "next man up" works in the case of someone getting kicked off the team for violent crime, then why wouldn't it work if someone got kicked off for accepting payment for autographs? You are confused, my friend.

quote:

Again are u sure u are in the military?

Uh, last I checked....wtf kind of question is that? You sure do like to play the military card a lot. Curious which branch you're in now. Got a hunch

Ok..........whatever that's supposed to mean

Where did I ever intimate that it DIDN'T affect the entire team? Your debate skills are remarkably poor, I must say.

Please don't say you're in the air force

Enough of us are, dammit

That stereotype is certainly earned. Coworker of mine wrote "receded" for "receipted," and "tooken" for "took" in a note the other day.

Mother. Of. God.

I am going to go ham on his arse next time I see him

Yes I think physical altercations at work should be handled with firings. I have worked construction jobs so I've seen it. All that happens is it festers because the guy that loses feels punked and retribution has to happen. Again I understand defending yourself but that wasn't defending himself it was taking advantage of someone weaker.

This wasn't at work. So that isn't the case at all. And i you want every person who got in a fight at football practice off the team then you wouldn't have a team.
