Haven't seen any highlights this year so I didn't know his status

I seem to recall hearing last year in midseason he started wearing a different number on his jersey. I'm not sure if that was an attempt to make the officials think there was a different player (less prone to committing a penalty) at that position, or as some kind of tribute to another player.

it was a way to show he was leaving his old self of causing personal fouls and playing too rough behind.

he's now left with being 6'10" and standing out like a sore thumb for every minor penalty he does. he isn't able to get away with the same penalties a normal size lineman is able to.

i'm just saying, bigger guys attract more attention and thus more penalties...

but let's be honest. Skipper fouls. A lot.

I agree with both statements.

I was a huge kid growing up. 6'3 in the 7th grade and haven't grown an inch (vertically) since. I got called for everything in basketball and football because I stuck out so bad.
