No. He is just that good. Best RB I've seen at Arkansas as a freshman since DMac. If we had a competent passing game then he would be even better.

He's a different type of back than DMac but he'll be tops in the SEC before he leaves.

I'm wandering if a lot of it isn't just because he is leaned on so hard though ?

He has yet to get 20 carries in an SEC game

It no secret....Bert pads the stats after the game is over. If they were any good they would beat a SEC team which hey haven't done in years.

We just need some LB's and Safeties in the worst way. You'll see this week but you guys will absolutely gut us up the middle.

Just young or no talent?

Both. Our starting MLB is a true freshman. He still makes a lot of wrong reads when it comes to gap control. You can see flashes that he is going to be good one day but he shouldn't be starting this year. Outside of him, it's all a talent issue.

It doesn't help that our best LB has been out all season with a wrist injury that won't heal.

Yeah I know you guys are in the same boat.

I just don't see any way that we slow down your running game. Both spread teams we've played have killed us with simple inside zone plays over and over again. Spread our defense out and make the LB's make the plays.

Spoiler alert: they can't.

Probably not a lot.

I would go if I still lived in Arkansas. I always loved to go to Oxford when we played.

all I ask is to be competitive, showed it last night for first time in 4 games. hope we do the same in oxford, though I don't see us getting a W unless you guys turn the ball over a bunch. good luck

Just wondering why you say we should get our licks in now. Lots of other good classes in the SEC west...

We're easy to joke about and laugh at right now due to our lack of overall talent (especially defensively).

We're not going to be that easy of an out here soon. We'll be good enough that no one can look at their schedule and automatically say 'that's a win.'

Yes, I acknowledge that everybody else gets good classes as well.

Note, the above is not stated as 'fact', it's just my honest opinion. This has been a learning year for CBB too.
