They say the first year of a 3-4 never works but Rhodes has been sitting on a defensive assisstant roll for a year watching player personnel. Add that to the fact that he's danced around jobs Gene Chizik and Will Muschamp were up for in the past and his head coach stint at Iowa State and all signs point to a fast-tracked 3-4 installation.

It usually is a tough transition, and unless a handful of defensive five stars transfer to Arkansas and play immediately, I expect it will be no different for the Hogs. With that being said, the "transition" year could very possibly be better than whatever the frick last year was.

You attracted to big black dudes with dreads?

JS will shite himself on the field after he puts him in the turf a couple times

We definitely have the personnel for it...plus it has beeen mentioned that the secondary doesn't have to think as much and can play fast. Watch any film and our secondary was badly out of position a lot of the year because we played a base D constantly and had qbs just sitting in the pocket. We will be more agressive. We also have more speed at LB with Ellis gone. Get Dre back , Ramsey at Razor...Gabe Richardson at Hog...

We will be knocking mofos out

I have never seen a team upgrade the coaching staff and recruiting this much and still suck. You guys always try your best to be offseason champs .

Enos is one of the top OCs in the conference. PR is a damn good DC. We've got a lot more talent on the field...

We gonna challenge the West no doubt

He'll have a difficult time ever making it last our OL. We have the most talented and experienced OL in the SEC and they practice against better DL every single day.

No one can compete with U(sic)GA on that.

You would likely agree.

Well you finished 8th in the SEC last year giving up 426 yards per game, so we will see.

You can't seriously think that Arkansas has a better DL than Auburn? Or even in the same league?

Auburn has three 5* that were all in the top 10 overall of all recruits in their classes.

Arkansas DL gave up 543 rushing yards on a single game

Right. And he'd be coming off the bench at AU when Marlon Davidson got tired

LMAO. Truth. And even if we do, we are guaranteed to have a handful of foot injuries to destroy any depth we had.

Also, all joking aside, I can verify that Hogs defense gave up last season. The players didn't want to play for Smith anymore. Smith did not game plan for opposing offenses. He thought his defense was so crazy good that he could play SEC opponents in his base defense and win. His defense is not designed to attack an offense.

In short, he sucks. Bielema made a bad hire bringing him here to begin with.

But he had a Top10 defense 2 years ago....???

Because he had NFL talent on that defense

I agree that he still did a good job of putting them in the right places, and that defense was a lot of fun to watch, but the last two years were more indicative of his ability imo
