He wanted the job 4 yrs ago but Bert wrote Jeff Long a cute letter.

Bert goes 8-4 the next 2 seasons, then he'll be offered a crazy new contract to stay

If that's the case I'm just gonna quit. I've been a fan all my life (and I'm old) and I don't have crazy expectations (I don't think) but if he can't-- out of 6 flipping seasons-- win 10 games one time but he gets a crazy extension I will have had it.

But is that good enough considering that the school paid the shite out of Bert and is looking to win?

9-4 would be fine but he would be back on the chopping block with a 7-5 season the year after

Are we? We apparently seem to be paying the right amount for the right results. Not only is the sky not falling, we're actually head of schedule if you didn't know.

Firing any winning coach during Saban's tenure is completely pointless and throwing your money away. And by winning I mean to say the norm of the program. No, Arkansas should not tolerate back to back 7 win seasons but 8-10 wins at Arkansas is not what you fire a coach for while Bama is Bama. Auburn and LSU are the only 2 that can sustain 9-10 wins every year and look how they have been. Bert is in Arkansas for the next 2 seasons barring a losing season.

Also, I know his overall record yada yada yada. He has a losing record and i appreciate that fact. But if you choose to use his 1st season against him then you are a troll and offer no legitimate insight to discussing college football.

Geesh, here we go again.

1. Compare CBB to the other SEC coaches. LSU hired Yaw Yaw who was terrible at OM. CBB has achieved more to this point.
2. BOtch Jones, LOLOLOL>>>> Next
3. Dan Mullins, great coach... Might trade, might not.
4. Freezus, NO WAY!
5. MAC at FL, Not...
6. Vandy has a good defense, did I mention Vandy has a good defense. Keep moving on..
7. Stoops, not gonna stoop that low.
8. Rumlin, not enough rum, scotch, cognac, vodka in the state to satisfy him.
9. Auburn, Malzahn has done better than CBB much to my chagrin. But I hate the dude. something isn't right in his relationship with his master Christy.
9. Mizzou, OOOOOHHHH NO! SWJ too much.
10. SC east... Boom, hmmmm.... not sure yet, probably not.

Saban, absolutely. Trade immediately and to boot you get an extra 400 Lbs.

Point being, who has actually coached at their pay grade in the SEC this year? There is Saban and then a low return on the investment everywhere else. SEC Sucks now

That sounds about right. I'm not sure I could ever have faith in BB again regardless to tell ya the truth. The halftime collapses kinda got to me.

Same. Our team was mentally weak and flat out quit numerous times this season. I don't know if ive seen that happen to good coaches / well coached teams.

The two disgraceful losses to end the season sure took the wind out of my sails. There is nothing to make me think the Hogs will be contender in 2017.

But, these are the types of years the Hogs surprise folks. That's my plan.

Fatass' record is 25-26 (10-22). Tell me more about how he is a "winning coach." Bama is only one loss a year, so without that loss he is still 25-22 (10-18). Still quite shite if you ask me.

We need to beat A&M, Mississippi State, Missouri, win all nonconference and one of Ole Miss/LSU. Also we need to not lose any game by 50. Also no embarrassments on Twitter from the head hog

Since none of that will happen, berts seat will get even hotter
