What needs to happen for the Hog faithful to consider it a successful season?

8-4 with no blow outs

even then hype would still be pretty low. Bert would have to go 9-3 for people to be excited again

I hope Bert can rise to the occasion and reach his 8 win ceiling again.

Mike Gundy is close by, and would kill it at Arky. AD needs to balls up and make the deal.

Bert is guaranteed something like 20 mil, Arky cannot afford to cut him loose

That sounds about right. I'm not sure I could ever have faith in BB again regardless to tell ya the truth. The halftime collapses kinda got to me.

Something has to give here.

Y'all are paying him way too much for that outcome.

Beat Texas a&m
Win at least 8 games
Go to music city or flordia bowl and win

But is that good enough considering that the school paid the shite out of Bert and is looking to win?

How I see it going down.. Bert goes 8-4 the next 2 seasons, then he'll be offered a crazy new contract to stay ..and then goes 3-9, 6-6, 7-5, 8-4, 8-4. Maybee throw a 9-3 in there, then start over. Rinse and repeat.

Basically he has to not lose to the turds on the schedule. So dropping a bad game against a school like LSU would really hurt his chances of being retained.

Hold serve in the weirdest but hottest rivalry with Mizzou and not drop a game to lesser schools and he should be OK.
