Will you stripe out the game? That's the only way it could be a rivalry

The rivalry clashes against both geographic and historical boundaries - from disputed demarcations of the border separating the two states to notable alumni and former personnel with ties to both storied athletic programs. The historic rivalry between the two states will take on even more meaning now, as every Thanksgiving weekend the Battle Line will be drawn on the gridiron. The Razorbacks or Tigers will ultimately stake claim to the "Line" - until the next meeting. It appears the "Line" is going to be something. What exactly it is is yet to be determined.

Umm, ok.

I know, right? There is a long, storied history of both states mostly ignoring one another.

I'll tell you what about Missouri, ok?

I went up across the old "Battle Line" this summer and put a canoe in the Elk River. And let me tell you this about Missouri and Missouri people in general.

They were ok, and the river was just fine.

Altercation is a little too strong of a word

Disagreement in the Wal-Mart Sporting Goods Aisle would be more appropriate

All pretty lame, until it actually becomes a rivalry.

I was a Freshman at Arkansas in 1963 when we played Missouri in Little Rock. I went to the night game and watched Mo win 7-6.

What made the game somewhat unique in the day, was that Missouri had a running back by the name of Charlie Brown, I believe that was black. In those days of the SWC and SEC there were no black players and seldom did teams play against a team with black players, other than possibly in a bowl game.

The only way to spice up the rivalry in football is if Arkansas wins, we get Macadoodles. If Mizzou wins, they get Eureka Springs.
