This thing has blown up over the last 24 hours. At this point, I don't think there is any way that Petrino keeps his job.
Would the Pigs consider putting the interim tag on a current assistant for this season? Going this route would suck because the Pigs look to be poised for a pretty good year...the interim label would almost appear to be conceding an 8-4 type of year (even with brother Petrino as interim).
If the Pigs were to go after a "big name HC" at this point in time, it'd almost have to be someone in broadcasting such as a Gruden (no chance). The timing of this is awful for the Pigs because spring practices are going on all over and there aren't many HC's out there that would be willing to take the hit of bad publicity that they would receive for moving to Arkansas now.
Would Holtz be willing to go home to momma?

Hey, at least the chick's hot. I give him props. It'll prob. help recruiting showing the caliber of chicks we got here. Of course he'll prob. be canned though, because of the moral bullshite. It's 2012, who gives a shite about morals anymore? Arkansas =s Republicans and Baptist, or you burn in hell. I hate living here.

I'm conservative and Baptist and don't believe Petino should or will be, fired.

Sports fans have extremely unrealistic views of coaches loyalty. They want coaches to love the school they are coaching at and never leave. Those same fans also want to be able to fire the coach when they or the school is tired of him. Hypocrites (I include all fans in this, not an particular fan or fanbase).

I don't want to spread rumors (or facts) about this girl but I am weary of Arkansas fans acting like Chicken Little. He screwed around and brought it into the workplace. Poor decision making, quite stupid in fact. He didn't make any criminal actions, it's certainly not noble but it certainly isn't the worst thing that has happened in collegiate athletics. It will be ok, our fans (like Jon Ham) need to quit being drama queens over it.

Fire Bobby, program goes back to shite, Jeff Long's days as AD are numbered afterwards. Aren't we like top 5 in gymnastics and baseball or something? I don't know because I don't care. Football is what brings in the money and what ppl care about.

Message boards represent a small number of a fan base. I think most in Arkansas, going by callers, think what he did was wrong. The majority also think that's between he, his family, and god.
Was it improper in the work place? Sure. Does it looked jacked up that she had just gotten a position with the football team? Sure.
False information was spewed that her position was new as well. That was false. The person who held her position prior, relocated to Pitt. She had worked with the athletic department for a few years, was a former athlete at the UA. There will be no proof that she was not qualifies for her position. If some how they think she was unfit for that job, then half the former athletes who work in the BAC will be reviewed. 90% of them have a degree in a completely different field.
In the end, Petrino will be punished, JD will be punished. All will be well when the season starts.

What Bobby did was wrong, we all know that. And we know that probably HUNDREDS (if not in the thousands) of men probably do something similar every day. Don't make it right by no means, but this is not a Sandusky/Joe Pa type deal.
As long as there were no laws broken or big lawsuit possibilities out of the hire of Dorrell for that position, all that should happen AS FAR AS HIS JOB GOES, is some penance in the form of game suspension and maybe some out of his pocketbook. Maybe a public apologie. The rest should be between he and his family.
