The only 2 teams I would accept being ranked ahead are Bama and LSU. My top 3 preseason ranking at this point would be:

1. LSU
2. Ark
3. Bama

But I could see it in any order with these 3. Best thing Arkansas has going for it is that both the Bama and LSU games are at home in Fayetteville. I like Arky's chances to at least split those games and end up 11-1.

I agree. I bet LSU ends up #1, Bama #3-5, and Arkansas 6-10.

Typical delusional R-Kansas fan Memo to R-Kansas fans you don't have a championship defense to play with the big boys

and no we shouldn't, we have two many unknowns to be ranked that high.

who is going to step for our recievers that are gone.
is the offensive line going to gel early with all the talent and experience coming back
how is the defense and the personnel going to respond to Haynes and the changes including looking for a new lb coach.

while I think we should be in the top 8-10, number 3 is a tad high

I like the defense Arkansas has coming back and the new DC. It won't be as good as LSU or Bama's, but it should be more than okay.

Your right we have the best passer that also has some mobility, return a more experienced Oline, return one of the best SEC RB's along with Dennis Johnson, a TE that by the end of next year will be considered one of the best TE's, and a young talented WR corps (Herden, Hamilton, Wade, Funderburk, Humphrey, with Gardner and Possibly DGB coming in as instant impacts). We won't have a drop off on Offense. The only play we may have a drop off is D and it can't get much worse.

ETA: I wasn't saying they are Newton/Fairly. But to say you HAVE to have a unbelievable defense to win is stupid.

So the Cotton bowl isn't a shitty bowl if LSU plays in it like they recently did.....
