Austin is more of a statue than Kelley.

Insert Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, Bart Star, Troy Aikman, and it still rings true... Should have stuck with ...

I'd really hate to put Kelley out there for him though. He has the potential to be really good down the road and feeding him to Bama and Auburn in his first two games as a starter could hurt that.

This is exactly what happened to Brandon Allen and it took him two years to recover.

That said, I expect Kelly will be the guy this weekend. Let's hope he is as mentally tough as he appears to be physically tough.

Game could get interesting.

Eh, that was more about Chaney than anything else.

Meaning Brandon was thrown to the wolves against Alabama and it screwed him up.

Austin Allen is banged up beyond belief. No P5 QB has come close to taking the hits he has.

Etling hasnt exactly had a stroll in the park either.

There may be some truth to that but, IMO, Brandon and Austin have both shown that they don't have near as much mental toughness as they do physically. Perhaps (hopefully) Cole will have more upstairs than the Allen bros.

I know but I don't think it is a coincidence that he changed so much after Enos got here.

I forgot about the VR, Bert needs more time to make it perfect.

Good. Maybe the dude will step up in the pocket and get the damn ball out instead of holding it for 5 seconds and then getting sacked 6 times a game like Allen. The o-line sucks, but Jesus, dude will not hit a check-down to save his life.

Oh I know, but the numbers point to Allen being the most abused P5 QB in the last few years. The guy nearest to him has taken something like 50 fewer hits.

I'm kinda turning sour on Enos at this point. He hasn't really molded his system to fit the talent he has at hand. It's the main reason Allen is taking a beating.

Running play action 15 times a game is stupid if other teams don't respect your running game. Time after time as soon as Allen is able to look down field there's a couple dudes hitting him in the mouth.

To be fair.. most offensive coordinators have this in their playbooks:

Step 1: Have an offensive line that doesn't let through defenders like shite through a goose.

He was given a smashmouth line by Bret but he won't use it.

Huh, are you saying he isn't letting the best Olineman on the field?
