There's a rumor on BOL that Cole Kelley's father is telling people his son is starting on Saturday night.

Is this true?

Game has been taken off the board at Bovada. Must be some fire behind that smoke.

Austin hasn't been able to throw at pratice this week. I'm sure Kelley will start, but it won't be "announced" until gameday IMO.

Doesn't really matter, Austin will only play as long as Bama decides not to take him out. You will see both qb's Sat unless Austin is not medically cleared.

Bert needs every excuse he can use to save his job after the news today. He won’t be starting for two weeks.

he hasnt practiced, he wont play. it's story if Steamboat goes down, but, STEAMBOAT doesnt get hurt, yo. Steamboat is tougher than our lineman. And he a Cajun, better at QB than anyone on LSU's roster I might add....

Cole will absorb thoose hits. In fact, he'll probably truck an LB or two. I am actually WAY more excited for the game with CK out there than with Allen. At least it'll have some entertainment value with CK trucking fools. Dude is better than ya'll think, Mallett with legs and a nasty disposition.

If that big statue dude is the QB, it's going to get rough for Arkansas.

He's not exactly a statue, we use him similarly to the way Florida used Tebow his freshman year.

Had 4 rushes for 21 yards against A&M and 2 for 23 against South Carolina.

But it will get rough regardless

Austin Allen is banged up beyond belief. No P5 QB has come close to taking the hits he has.

I'd really hate to put Kelley out there for him though. He has the potential to be really good down the road and feeding him to Bama and Auburn in his first two games as a starter could hurt that.

If we do then this may be the least Bert like offense we've put on the field. And that might not be a bad thing.

I like Austin Allen. He has taken more beatings as QB than anyone deserves.

Bert and the offensive line should be ashamed of themselves. If this had been a prizefight, the trainer would have thrown in the towel a year ago.

Arkie does not have chance without him in the lineup but he needs to sit and heal.
