We're an all-time AP top 20 program that averages 8 wins a year that just went through a stretch where we set records for losses and achieved levels of shite we had literally never reached before.

That's the very definition of down.

Like I said, you're just trolling and butthurt that I was dismissive of your obvious stirring of the pot.

You have posted the following about me:

Here's your attention. Run along now. Adults are talking.

Yet you're the one of the two of us that can't approach the thread with any real intention to discuss the topic.

Just more bad trolling. It's ho-hum at this point.

quote:

Lord knows Missouri only forms rivalries with the most prestigious of football programs that are always competitive.

You're full of shite and you know it.

Yeah that extra 8 months really makes you an old sage in comparison.

Like I said, full of shite.

All because I posted this:

quote:

If it were competitive, it would be more interesting. As it is, it's one sided strongly in Mizzou's favor.

Don't know man, I think the truth hurts a little for you. Being humbled by facts can put someone on tilt on tRant at times.

Well now you're just outright lying. The first quote is the only response to your quote. Everything else is in direct response to different posts entirely. But you knew that already.

You went on tilt after my first post.

It's all good. The facts are what they are and you can either accept them or continue to fling poo.

Missouri is 7-2 vs Arkansas since Mizzou joined the SEC. 10-4 all time vs this "AP Top 20 Program"

I'lll give you an out...

Do you think the fact that this forced series hasn't been competitive has had an impact on developing a rivalry?

I think the BB part has been fun between Mizzou and Arkansas since joining the SEC.

Not at all. I think the fact that no one is excited to have this be the game that replaced what became a fond tradition over the years is what is to blame. "Developing" a rivalry by shoehorning the title of rivalry game in front of it before they even have any kind of real interaction with each other is stupid. Real rivalries are organic.

The perfect example is LSU. The SEC didn't just automatically turn Arkansas vs. LSU into a rivalry/trophy game when Arkansas joined. They weren't playing for a trophy until 1996 and that was with an underlying history of almost 4 decades on top of the matchup already.

What the SEC has done with Arkansas/Missouri is corny as hell and reeks of cash grab and that has turned a lot of people off. On top of the fact that there's really just no reason at all to think of Missouri any differently than a new SEC team. Every Arkansas fan I know would still rather have South Carolina as our east opponent and be playing LSU on Black Friday. The interest just isn't there win or lose.

For a decade.

Would it shock you for the answer to be a resounding "YES!"???

Because it has been.

Dude...

Let's begin with the 85 season

85 10/2
86 9/3
87 9/4
88 10/2
89 10/2

Then 3 years of Jack Crow... Ohhh Boy, a roadblock I'd say!

90 3/8
91 6/6
92 3/7/1 1st in the SEC!!!!

Danny Ford Anyone? New Coach in the SEC!!!!
93 6/4/1
94 4/7
95 8/5
96 4/7
97 4/7 Fired his butt too... So, better in the future?

Awww, finally some stability, Right?
Good Ole Houston Nutt!!!
98 9/3
99 8/4
2000 6/6
01 7/5
02 9/5
03 9/4
04 5/6
05 4/7
06 10/4
07 8/5

Now, here's the kicker... Nutt was having an affair with a new reporter from Fort Smith. Nut was causing bunches of problems with his staff, namely Gus Malzahn, Nutt was fighting with his players parents, Nutt had a fiasco and was about to be fired.

Better record, Fired anyways with a golden payout. Left to Old Miss following beating LSU on Thanksgiving weekend. So, without a HEad Coach and lost to Mizzou (I would say we were in disarray, wouldn't you?)

Bobby Petrino was hired.... WHEW< PIG SOOIE???
08 5/7 Almost bowl eligible...
09 8/5
10 10/3
11 11/2

Ready for the decade of abyss... This terrible time begins with one John L (SMile) smith.
12 4/8

then Bert
13 3/9
14 7/6
15 8/5 Better but still lost to, get this...TOLEDO!
16 7/6 Blew huge leads multiple times to lose. Lost to Mizzou by 4, UP 24/17 at halftime.
17 4/8 Lost to MIZZOU barely...

Chard Morris hired... Damn!
18 2/10 Chad Morris. DAMN, JUST DAMN
19 2/10

A Career Oline Coach hired. Best we could get after Smile, Bert, and Chard!???

20 3/7 All sec, Barely lost to Mizzou, Covid!
21 9/4 Beat Mizzou
22 7/6 Lost to mizzou
23... WHAT WILL HAPPEN!

Mizzou beats us in 22 against Pittman
21, Arkansas Wins
20, Mizzou beats us against Pittman, 1st year, Covid
19, Mizzou Beats us, Morris 2/10 coach
18, Mizzou beats us, Morris 2/10 coach
17, Mizzou beats us, Bert 4/8 Coach and FIRED!
16, Mizzou bets us, Bert...
15, Arkansas Wins
14, Mizzou beats Bert 2nd season at Ar...

2007, Mizzou beats us in cotton bowl against a team without a Head Coach... Who had just been fired...

2003, Arkansas beats Mizzou in Indy Bowl.

You have beaten us when you shouldn't have.. .However against a team who just had their coach fired, against Bert who was fired, and against Chad Morris who is quite possibly the worst ncaa football coach in history. and against a Career Oline Coach who is 1/2 against you.

Thats the story man. So, yes... We have been in the damn dog house for the better part of 12 years now.

I am saving this for when another knucklehead does this again.

Wow you have really thrown it in our face that Arkansas has been terrible for a decade.

I feel told.

If only I knew that the reason we beat you was because you were terrible, I wouldn't have taken any joy in Missouri winning the games.

I'm glad you feel better about losing because you have a terrible decaying program.

Their fanbases are almost identical. Both schools located in their state capitals. Pretty even sports-wise. I could actually see that happening. You misspelled "Carolina Ballerina Rivalry", though.

Feels so wrong not waking up the morning after Thanksgiving and getting pumped for an early afternoon matchup for The Boot.

Arkansas fans hating the Missouri game being called a rivalry is as much about this as anything. End of season used to be an exciting matchup. Now it's a trip to cornfield land up north in November.
