Petrino just up and left Atlanta in the middle of the night. Arkansas fans should hope he's still there for their bowl game. And yes, if he is offered the FL job, he's taking it.

has it ever occured to you that you are in the sugar thanks to Au/due to default? you didn't win the west, didn't win the s.e.c., if Au wasn't playing for the n.c., no first time sugar (in the b.c.s. era) for the hogs.
i'm actually happy for you guys. i'm just tired of hearing how this is a big accomplishment over other teams. a lot of you guys are acting like you won the s.e.c. or something.

Again, we don't have a talent problem. Arkansas may not produce the numbers that other states do, but it produces plenty of elite-level talent (Mallett, Childs, Wright, Adams, Williams, McFadden, Hillis, Anderson, etc off the top of my head).
Besides, Tulsa is 1.5 hours away and DFW is 4 hours away. KC is 2.5 hours away. There is PLENTY of talent within 5 hours of campus. We don't have the base of LSU, UGA, or UF, but recruiting isn't a problem with a good coach.

Arky didn't back into anything. Ya'll beat LSU to get into the Sugar Bowl, just as LSU beat UT in the SECCG to get into the National Championship (along with some other help).
But both teams did what they needed to in their final game to get into their respective bowls.

Since when do we not have interstates and airplanes that allow us to recruit out of state?
Talent hasn't been a problem the last 15 years. It's been coaching.
Again, I'm not saying Arkansas has the recruiting base of Florida, UGA, or LSU. But it's not the talentless end-of-the college football world everyone makes it out to be. It's a top 25 job, and can pay as well as anyone.
