I think the schedule and our injuries in the secondary trip us up. We are terrible against the pass and we get what looks like a very good BYU on the road, late in the year.
If we get dinged up against them, after a darn stout run of games, that hurts us down the home stretch.

Let’s not get ahead of ourselves now. We have some major holes in our secondary that need to be cleaned up before we can think about that. Any team with a good passing offense, at the moment, can get their yards. Honestly, just glad to be competitive again and not losing to the North Texas/Western Kentucky/Colorado State/San Jose States of the world anymore. Damn it hurt to type that last sentence haha

Bait... any reasonable Arkansas fan knows we have holes that someone will exploit.
We have a better than normal chance, but could still easily lose 3-5. We'll know if we have a "legit" chance after October 1st, but Bama is still a prohibitive favorite to win the West.

Bama Arkansas gonna end up exactly like UGA Arkansas last year. A good but overhyped hog team hitting a buzzsaw at the wrong time.

We've been consistently terrible in pretty much every away game under BoB's offense tutelage, so I fully expect a dogfight, if not an outright loss.

Ark is a good team. They just don't have enough horses or should I say Hogs to do the job. They will face the Bama team that you saw in the 4th qtr. Bryce Young will destroy their secondary.

I like the way you think, but we have a long, long way to go. State will most likely feast on our secondary, if not Alabama. And while I think Pittman is bringing us out of it, I honestly think there is a mental hurdle we have to get over with Alabama. Seems like we've convinced ourselves that we can't beat them. Hopefully we destroy that mental deficit, along with the Tide this year.

I don't think this is comparable. UGA was clicking last year when y'all played. This Alabama team has quite a few issues that need to be addressed. Plus, Jefferson can easily pick up yards with his feet and I expect him to do that a LOT on third downs. This one should be close.

Is there any thought that with the secondary injuries Odom might revert back to that zone that he ran the first couple of years? Especially against somebody like State?

We may very well lose in Provo, but fortunately that won't matter as far as the conference race.

They do have a legit shot to win the west but absolutely no shot at beating Georgia.
