Arkansas fans: what is the story with Sam Carter?

He is being considered at Ole Miss. I know that he has recruited well, but isn’t he the coach that caused so many departures recently?

There were some rumors that all his players hated him, but then Catalon said that was not true. Who knows. Would be strange for him to leave after the transfer DBs we've just landed

He didn’t cause those departures.
Basically after being benched at times this year (Foucha and Brooks) they were told their spots weren’t guaranteed as starters and they’d have to compete so they found somewhere they could play.
I could see him leaving though if some of the rumblings are true about the DBs not liking him

That was just Twitter rumblings. I've yet to see anything substantiated beyond social media rumors.
Arkansas Twitter's go-to when a player unexpectedly leaves is to say they hated their position coach. Same thing happened when Mike Woods transferred last year...and that just ended up being bullshite.

I mean we upgraded at both positions. At worst one is a push.
Foucha remained a 3 star in the portal. The UGA DB we got was bumped to a 4 star.

Yes both were benched multiple times this year and our secondary was the worst part of our defense after the Catalon injury. Facts are hard for some people

He's an old school, hardass coach and that probably rubs some players wrong but he's a really good recruiter. Also heard he has a temper during games but a lot of what has been said is probably exaggerated.
Odom promoted him from being a GA at Missouri so I'd be surprised if he left with Odom still here, guess you never know though.

Not like we wanted to lose mcglothern.
He is a much better player than both brooks and foucha.
Both foucha and brooks are tiny. I think foucha will end up being the better player of the 2.
We had to take both players for depth.

I have no idea if it is true or not, but a few Ole Miss coaches follow the guy who are talking about. He’s not totally random.

It was leaked by a parent that before Carter...starters were treated like superstars in the DB meetings and backups were ignored. After Carter was hired all the dbs were treated the same and that rubbed a couple of starters wrong.

Good recruiter, decent coach, tough old school vibe that some players don't like these days. Odom friend, may leave.. may not.
