Do you consider your season as disappointing or successful?

why the hell would it be disappointing?

ETA: 10-2 in Petrino's 3rd year and talk of a BCS bowl? I'd call it successful.

I know there were quite a few Arkansas fans here with SEC championship/ BCSNC expectations.

It's just curiosity really.

We were 200k away from it being a real possibility.

For reference: LSU has the same record and is disappointed.

You do have that BCS bowl thing going for you, but very comparable seasons.

During the off-season there were Arkansas fans who believed that with an improved defense and another year of Mallett that Arkansas could easily win the SEC championship and be in the talk for a national championship.

I'm not saying all of you predicted this, but it was reasonable regardless.

Don't get your panties in a wad

Saban's second year at LSU - SEC Championship
Meyer's second year at Florida - SEC & National Championship
Miles' third year at LSU - SEC & National Championship
Saban's third year at Alabama - SEC & National Championship

i'm just saying

Where has LSU been the past few years? 2 NC's and very good seasons. I can see why LSU fans would be disappointed.

But looking at Arkansas and who we had as a coach 4 years ago and looking at where we are as a program right now; I would call it highly successful.

Yea, we all know it is easier to win at Arkansas than at Florida, LSU and Alabama

Every coach there had talent when he got there, Petrino didn't. This is a dumb arguement.

I consider the season a success in some sense, but a disappointment in another. I would have loved for an SEC Championship, but I didn't expect it, I actually predicted we'd go 10-2.

And where was the talent pool at Arkansas when Petrino got there? Pretty much non-existant.

did you see LSU in the late 90s before Saban? or Florida under Ron Zook? if you Arky fans are constantly going to suck Petrino's cock because of what he's done in his 3rd season then expect a logical comparison that shows that he's, in fact, not in the same class as championship coaches yet.

You can search if you want to. You weren't even here for most of the off season.

This isn't a flame, just a simple question. Some of you are really showing your colors.

I think this proves that Nutt is a horrible recruiter.
