On top of that, Bielema says a lot of things tongue in cheek to get laughs. He's going over the schedule talking about each team, probably took jabs at every one but the media took this one and tried to spin the Malzahn angle on it.

I'm not sure why this is so hard for Auburn fans to grasp. He said it at an Arkansas football kickoff dinner for donors and fans that was held in SPRINGDALE. It clear as can be why he said it and the folks attending the event loved it. Now Eric Bolin should have left it in the room but that's a different story.

His first year I never thought he would make it in the sec, but he is a pretty damn good football coach. Coaches his team to be physical and run the football, like the sec has always been. I like his coaching style.

I confess I didn't read the whole thread, but it's not that unusual for a coach to have a particular coach he can't stand; Meyer despises Kiffin, Petrino hates Miles, harbaugh and and Carroll really don't like each other, and on and on. That whole elevator thing would have ticked off any fan base and coach whether it was intentional or not. No big deal really, IMO. It's mold compared to "For you my friend".
