texass refused to play anymore.
They told us their OOC schedule was full through 2018.
Former Texas A&M President Bowen Loftin sent texass a letter that we would play them any time anywhere.
It used do be a rivalry, but now Aggies just don't give a crap about them or any other Big 12 school.

I can't go post on the A&M board without permission why should you be able to post on the LSU board?

So because your schools are playing the ladies from ATX, we should play em as well?
Why?
I don't recall either school (Ark or LSU) jumping in to playing the sips for a regular series match-up during the ages and ages when TAMC/TAMU did.
We weren't trying to avoid those dorks; we told them flat-out when we left the BDF that we wanted to keep the Lonestar Showdown series in tact. They, in turn, threw a tantrum and stomped away in their leather-fringed, hippie sandal-clad feet.
So they can piss up a rope--that ship has sailed.
But enjoy your match-ups. They're trying like heck to schedule any meaningful OOC games that they can, being that their conference is a little ... weak. You're givin' em what they need, which is very neighborly of you.
As for us? Buh-bye. We tried; they cried.

Texas A&M president R. Bowen Loftin doesn't think the Aggies' move to the SEC should preclude an annual game with in-state rival Texas, according to mysanantonio.com, placing any responsibility for the continued suspension of the historic series at the feet of the Longhorns athletic department.
"I said it before, and I value my integrity. I said it two years ago and I meant it then," Loftin told the website. "There's no reason why we shouldn't play each other, if we want to. I think they (Texas) will at some point in time feel like it's the right thing to do, as well, and we'll get there."
The question for Texas is, what do the Longhorns have to lose by playing?
Texas' relationship with A&M, and other schools in the former incarnation of the Big 12 Conference, began to fragment after the school established its own broadcasting arm, the Longhorn Network. In time, the conference underwent a realignment face-lift that resulted, most notably, in A&M's move to the SEC. Still, Loftin indicated not every Aggie in the building cares for the idea.
"I've always said 'anytime, anywhere,' although others are not saying it that way anymore," Loftin added

According to ESPN.com's Max Olson, a rekindling of the rivalry with Texas A&M isn't at the top of new Texas athletic director Steve Patterson's priority list. That list apparently includes international games, including a football game in Mexico City and a sporting event in Dubai.
"There's a lot of great tradition with Texas A&M. At some point in time, does it make some business sense, some branding sense to play again? I don't know," Patterson told Olson.
"It's not at the top of my list. I'm really more focused on how we grow the footprint of the department."
