I will say that the perception of the SEC teams collectively has lent itself directly to being put in position to win 5 of the previous 7 NC's. With a possible 6th in 8 years looming it serves to remind us all that the perceived strength of the conference is the primary reason SEC schools are given the benefit of the doubt, year in and out. That being said, there's nothing wrong with those who choose to root for none but their on team but it doesn't change the fact that the successes of these 12 schools are aligned for better or worse. And it's usually for the better. I for one hope Auburn does defeat the University of Nike.

I usually pull for all SEC teams out of pure schadenfreude. I love how much the rest of the country hates us, and bowls only add to that ire. I also can't see how it doesn't help the entire conference when it comes to recruiting and so on.

However, pulling for Auburn is hard. Oregon was one of the few teams in the Pac-10 I always never hated, and I am not the biggest Cam fan, with or without the 200k, in the world. Then again, it is hard to not pull for an SEC team for the reasons above. I think I may default and just not watch this year. I just can't work up the give-a-shite.

I sometimes used to pull against the SEC teams because they voted against our cowbells and it seemed that every controversial call in SEC games went against us.

Now that the SEC has given the cowbells back and State is in a bowl game, in general I'm rooting for the SEC. I mean, the SEC does give us a boat load of money, and I'm now enjoying being a contributing part of the tough SEC.

A month ago I wrote that I wanted Auburn to win the SEC Championship Game then lose the National Championship Game. When AU gets punished, the SEC will not allow AU to claim or market the SEC Championship, so they will end up with nothing. Don't feel as strongly now as I did then, though. Not sure how I'll feel by the time the game rolls around.

I'm eally rooting for the SEC against the Big10, except for Penn State/Florida. Nothing against UF, it's just that I'm also a Penn State fan.

So:

Mississippi State over Michigan
Oregon over Auburn
Arkansas over Ohio State
Penn State over Florida
Bama over Michigan State
LSU over Texas A&M
South Carolina over Florida State
Tennessee over North Carolina
Kentucky over Pitt
Georgia over Central Florida
Ole Miss over....oops

I usually root for LSU and Georgia besides my Razorbacks, of course... other than that, I couldn't care less.

This is my problem.....even if I tell myself to root for the SEC team going into the game I find myself actually rooting for the other team while I watch the game....happened for Bama and Texass last year I'm sure it will happen again.

SEC bwol wins keeps the SEC getting the benefit of the doubt when it comes to BCS rankings the next season.

Why would I route for Ohio St, Texas A&M, Clemson, FSU, and whoever UF and UK play?

I want AU to win MNC, but if they have to vacate wins later, I want the death penality and them out of SEC for Clemson or A&M.

Do I have to Call the Hogs or just hope they win? If I have to call the hogs and use jazz fingers up top, then I don't know bout this.

Hey, if I can deep fry a couple of corndogs and pull for your Tigers, then you had damn well better call the Hogs against OSU!

I have always rooted (of course I root, I'm a Razorbacks fan) for each and every SEC member to do well in their respective bowl match ups but, this year will be an exception as I would dearly love to see Auburn's cheating arse lose.

Even if they win they will have to vacate the BCS Championship down the road, so no matter what it's a win-win situation for me.

I am old school Alabama so the only team I had trouble pulling for in bowl season was TN. Now with Dooley there I will even pull for them.

I know several of the kids at AU because of their parents. No way I can pull against them, just wish pulling for AU did not mean I was also pulling for Cam, Lowder and company.

I always pull for the SEC but I'm having issues pulling for Auburn this year.
