I am going to bet that the NCAA turns this down after the Tunsil investigation is complete and pushes those scholarship numbers higher.

The Tunsil stuff is the part many OM fans are overlooking.

For weeks the rumor has been that another letter is coming. That hasn't happened yet, but the fact that OM asked to be removed from the next NCAA docket hints strongly that there is still an active investigation. If it turns up more involving Tunsil, you can pretty much expect the NCAA to add something on top of the self imposed sanctions.

It's whatevers. We have had months to let it sink in. It's like having a 93 year old grandma. It's not as painful when she dies because we've had so much time to get used to the thought of it. Besides up to this point we don't even have a post season ban yet. So granny is still hanging on by a thread :^)

In all honesty, y'all should have been preparing yourselves for several years now. When out-of-state African American 4 and 5* kids started signing with Ole Miss, red flags went up all over the country. wtf?

Is there a section in the NOA that mentions any of the highly rated kids OM has signed other than Tunsil and CJ Hampton?

If OM is throwing the bank at all these highly rated kids, surely the NCAA and OM would have found more during the 4 year probe.

It comes down to a POS committing academic fraud, which is absolutely intolerable, and two players receiving loaner cars from a dealership. I don't give a frick about $16,000 worth of infractions. I would say that's a pretty damn good return on investment at this point.

Either, you are simply disengenuinous;

Or you are stupid;

Or you are honest with yourself and feel as though we made one of the smartest, financially savvy purchases in the history of football.

Greatest offensive tackle in the country for a cab ride fee, $800 to his dumbass step-father and a loaner vehicle for a couple of months -- ALL which took place after he had already signed with us and had started suiting up and shutting down the various All-SEC D-linemen over and over, play after play .... Hmmm....

The truly scary part is that you have to now wrap your mind around the fact that
1) All these star recruits picked us without any bags of money; or
2) #thenetwork is so good at hiding the money, it couldn't be found with a 4 year colonoscopy.

Either way, we are here to stay!!

This is a Chernobyl-level Melt

What's funny/sad is that despite the fact that you only won 9 games and are now about to be hammered by the NCAA, it was still probably worth it - because you're Ole Miss and you've never really done any better.

What return on investment are we talking about?

If you don't think losing 2-3 scholarships per season for multiple seasons is going to hurt or will only "slightly" hurt, I don't know what to tell you. LSU lost two scholarships per year for two years starting in 2011...we had some depth issues following those years. USC is still trying to recover from their harsh sanctions and loss of scholarships.

Same thing UT has been going through this decade after Kiffin. Worse part was he started cleaning house the year he was at UT. Pulling key scholarship offers ie Bryce Petty and Taj Boyd. Just simply thinning. Which was OK by Vol fans when he was doing it....then he left.

So combine Kiffins herd thinning, and his NCAA mess. Dooley has 22-23 scholarships, and has like 65-70 players on roster. Why Jones was able to sign so many when came in.

One major thing Vol fans tend to forget when they bash Dooley, and his recruiting. Worse is when they say Jones had it worse than Dooley. That's a clear sign of a Vol fan that has no real clue of what was going on during that period, and how it affects the product on the field.
