Are the TV networks adding in crowd noise?

There is nobody at the Clemson game and it sounds like there are 100,000 people there.

Everything about this is lame. Dabo wears his “mask” maybe half the time. Then his mask is one of those neck gaitors. The players are probably 50/50 for actually wearing a mask on the sideline. This is dumb, covid is dumb!

Oh and Notre Dame is still garbage.

Most of the games I've watched today had audio piped in the stadium.

Not really.

They're pumping in crowd noise at Kansas. It would be unwatchable played in silence. Same with Clemson. Football needs noise.

I don't mind it....MLB has been doing it since they started back....Better than silence, IMO

I mind it. Been lied to enough. Give us reality. Some sports teams are using the added silence to their advantage to communicate. I want to hear what's really going on. Don't care how haunting it is, or even how sad it is, I want what is really going on.

I like it. It makes me barely notice the lack of crowds.

So was the noise pumped into the stadium, with the stadium announcer? Or, was it added to the broadcast?

Turned to fox for a second and i couldn't even here what the announcers are saying they had so much fake crowd noise going. That shite creeps me out. Like the dead people laugh track on sitcoms.

Good question.

25,000 fans will give you enough real crowd noise.

It’s sad that the Democrats/NFL are not allowing 20-25% of the fans to attend.

The fake crowd gave rousing applause for several season ending injuries yesterday

It needs to be realistic - add in boos, drunk guy yelling somehow louder that thousands of others, and quiet in the 2nd half when people would normally have left to beat traffic.

Wish they would go the XFL route and have more mics so we could hear everything on the field.
