Honestly everyone is being a little over the top with the dick riding right now. As the season progresses it will get more and more hostile though. It's already showing it's stripes among the fan bases when you talk about rankings or is ole miss' defense better or state's offense, etc.. When one of us loses you'll see the real hate come out.

We are combining together at the moment to take reign of the SEC. The combined energy will lead to both teams unbeaten in the Egg Bowl, and at that point the hate will all come out at once and they'll probably have to call in the national guard.

Ole Miss's win was plastered on the front page of my local newspaper. State's win was on the back page.
I don't live in Oxford.
Bottom line is MSU has a lot more to prove than Ole Miss, and I hope that continues to show on the field. Respect will come if we earn it.

Don't get me wrong. Before the State LSU I was pulling for LSU so very hard.
BUT that was before hmmm I don't really know how to explain it exactly.
But now I feel that we don't need State to be bad for us to look better. I feel that we are good enough to support ourselves and I think most State fans feel the same. We have each currently hit a spot where we really don't care about the other school because we are too excited about our own school to care.
(Also I do enjoy getting to watch State and OM talk shite to everyone else on tRant)

I agree. I think it's cool, and the State of Mississippi hype has garnered both of us a LOT more exposure the past week than if it was just one of us.
Regarding the OP, in less than a week we will no longer be tied no matter what. Both win, both lose, or one win/one lose, we will be separated.

Plus having both of us listed at #3 finally makes the rest of this stupid-arse nation realize we are 2 seperate schools
