He actually came to my church and spent an hour about two years ago talking about doing things the right way because that is what God requires...running a clean program being most important...winning the right way, etc.
I believed him. Seemed very real and humble.
Turns out, he lied behind my personal church's pulpit...without blinking an eye.
I get that pandering to recruits' parents is huge part of a coach's job description, but to me this is just ridiculous.
It's like when Jindal spoke at my church in high school. Man, he had the congregation eating out of his hand by the end of it, but in hindsight it blows my mind he could have fooled a crowd with many successful, intelligent professionals just because he was speaking in church

Having to deal with some stuff after a four-year colonoscopy expected. Scholly restriction numbers expected.
Lost on everyone seems to be the fact that over a period of 6 years, there were impermissible benefits that totaled less than $17,000.
Not bad for Tunsil, Nkemdiche, Treadwell, Tony Conner, etc....
So for all you folks screaming that Ole Miss only gets players because we buy them. Enjoy your $12 taxi ride, $33 two-night visit crashing at someone's house, and all that other stuff in there.
All the bigger benefits were loaner cars long after the player had already committed, been on campus, and played in games.
4 years of investigation...
$16,850.00!!
Where's the tens of thousands paid to get all these great players to come to Ole Miss?
Obvious and Most Important Conclusion:
Great players chose to come play football at Ole Miss, and it wasn't because they were paid to come here!! We are here to stay

I'm definitely not pissed off that our own administration did not line up with others who conspired to sabotage our recruiting class days before national signing day. I don't blame you for being pissed though. I've always been under the impression that ACT fraud from six years ago was far and away the most egregious thing appearing in our NOA and today I found out that that was true.

To be honest, I'm not sure. I do believe that Freeze and Bjork felt that the stuff in the NOA that happened under Freeze was the minor stuff and the most egregious acts were under the previous administration. If they had reason to believe that the punishment really will be the reduction of a few scholarships and no bowl ban, then that is understandable. However, if they did lie to these kids and we end up with a bowl ban or tv ban, I 100% support allowing these kids to go elsewhere. I'm somewhere in the middle of where most people are. I am not delusional enough to think Freeze is this great and morally superior man he pretends to be, but I don't think he's as corrupt as most people on here do. I think he is religious but I also think he uses that to create a character of himself that is not 100% sincere.

No hardware?
And I don't give a crap about losing 3 schollies a year. We've never signed more than 22 good players in a class anyway.
Just a minor bump in the road.
And this place thought we'd get postseason bans and TV bans.
lolz

I think most would agree that Freeze is not some tpos, but he really struggles to come off as authentic of a person as guys like Richt and Les. It feels like being a good person comes off much easier for those two than Freeze, mainly because Freeze has this Joel Osteen feeling about him when he's speaking.
Again I think being overly religious is a huge attribute and brand builder for the recruiting trail, and it's become part of his brand that really goes well with recruits' families.

Don't really care what Trump has or hasn't been doing with his money, nor do I see how that's analogous to the Ole Miss situation. Freeze and Bjork serve a University made up of thousands of donors, alumni, and students. Trump currently serves himself and only himself. One owes an explanation, the other doesn't.

That might be the best way I've heard this described. I think Richt and Les act the same regardless of who they are around and they've always been that way. Saban does too, he's just openly a jerk. Not that anything is wrong with that, Belichick and Popovich are kinda jerks too but things are working for them. I think Freeze is religious but has pushed it more and more each year as it has become part of what he is known for and he tries to use that to his advantage and that rubs people the wrong way.

Aren't these self imposed? I would expect a lot more to come...
